Classical references and innovative design
The venue was staged by Francois Frossard, renowned designer and architect based in Miami (the LIV and the Stroy in Miami, or Le Provocateur in Dubai), thrusts you in a setting that plays a contrast between classical references and innovative design. The place invites to volupté. The room is divided into cozy spaces that overlook the huge bar around which the cocktail becomes a tasting. On the walls with baroque draperies, huge canvases span in counterpoint of the imposing luminaire above the bar. Main piece of decoration, the bar, as a center island in black marble, immediately captures attention with its promise of delights. The warm color palette rather gives the place a cozy feel.
Cocktails, great classics revisited
Chrystie’s drinks list features nearly 30 cocktails ideas and revisits the classics born from the talent of renowned bartenders in the nineteenth century to the 1950s. You can enjoy an Old Fashion developed by James E.Pepper in 1884 in the States or a Tom Collins, created by Vincent Collins in New York in 1850. You can also enjoy an excellent Mojito or a Dry Martini made fashionable by James Bond films. But if the cocktails are in number at Chrystie’s, there is also an impressive list of prestigious spirits of all ages. Without forgetting the shooters, Champagnes, beers and soft drinks, plus a beautiful, carefully selected wine list.
Chef Laurent Beaumont shakes up habits
Elaborated by Chef Laurent Beaumont, Chrystie’s plates jostle habits. They are to be shared, available in chic bites or upscale tapas. Savory dishes offer a wide choice available in verrines like the Green Risotto, Duo Rock Shrimps or Pata Negra ham and breadsticks, in toast with Scottish salmon, in spoons like Crespeou of vegetables, in as marmiton like the White Truffle Ravioli or in mini burgers with Black Angus beef. The meats come also offered for tasting in Brazilian Picanha. The sea is also present with Carpaccio of Saint Jacques or “sweets” of crusty Tuna Takaki. On the sweet side, to finish your evening in style, you can be seduced by the chef’s delicious gourmandises.
