Fegentri Day at Hippodrome de la Côte d’Azur

The Côte d’Azur Racing Society hosted on Saturday, February 16 on its site the members of the Fegentri (International Federation of Gentlemen-Riders and Cavalières) for its 3rd stage of its World Championship and has organized a race for the Cavalières and a race for Gentlemen-Riders. The passion and enthusiasm of these jockeys from 25 countries from all over the world expressed in two splendid races with close results, rewarded by the JW Mariott Hotels group. The day before, the 58th General Assembly of the Fegentri, chaired by Mrs Nathalie Bélinguier, was held in the rooms of the Marriott Hotel in Cannes, city chosen to succeed New York, Stockholm, London and Paris, where previous General Assemblies were held.

This could jeopardise all the positive efforts realised in the past years for the horse race activities, a sector creating growth and employment.
At the end of the conference, Mr François Forcioli-Conti, President of Côte d’Azur Racing Society showed the officials the latest developments and work done on the Hippodrome and these installations were inaugurated.
In the afternoon, among the 8 foreseen races, two were run as the 3rd stage of the Fegentri World Championship.
