On August 27, on the beach of the Majestic Barriere in Cannes, a host of young Russian and French chefs had made an appointment to launch in a festive atmosphere the 2013 Franco Russian Gastronomy Seasons, an event that lasted one week between Cannes, Nice, Mougins and Monaco, in prestigious venues and gastronomic restaurants of renown.
The purpose of these exceptional culinary meetings is to bring together great virtuosos of the cuisine, coming from different backgrounds, to share their techniques, know-how, while surprising each other.
For this fourth edition, on a dream pontoon with magnificent view over the bay of Cannes, prestigious chefs of the two countries were thus gathered for this gala to offer the many epicureans a great show around the gastronomy, working hand in hand to prepare a buffet representative of their respective talents.
Each brigade were presenting dishes interpreted by duets of chefs of the French Riviera and Russian chefs who represented the finest institutions from Moscow to St. Petersburg .
Starred chef Bertrand Schmitt (Fouquets Barriere, Cannes) and guest of honor of Vyacheslav Kasakov (Oblaka restaurant in Moscow), Erwan Louaisil (Moulin de Mougins) and guest of honor Sergey Berezoutsky (Cuisine telle qu’elle est, Moscow), Serge Gouloumès (Mas Candille in Mougins) with guest of honor Ivan Berezutsky (PMI Bar, St. Petersburg), Mikael Durieux (Hôtel Majestic Barrière, Cannes) and guest of honor of Vyacheslav Kasakov (Oblaka, Moscow), Sebastien Klinhoff (JW Marriott, Cannes) and guest of honor Guram Baghdochvilli (Marina di Portimao), pastry chef chocolatier Christophe Calderon (Maison Calderon, Saint Raphael), everyone captivated gourmande guests’ taste buds.
The soirée was marked by a splendid haute couture fashion show signed by the house Max Cahoul, whose its prestigious clients include Killie Minogue and Beyoncé.
Elena Podkaminskaya, Nikita Tarasov, the participants of the Russian TV series “Cooking”, helped to the achievement this beautiful culinary challenge.
Nathalia Marzoeva, founder of the Franco Russian Gastronomy Seasons, can be proud of this first stage of a wide program of gastronomic events that ended the Four Seasons evening on August 31 at Mas Candille in Mougins, home of chef Serge Gouloumes .
