Following Stéphane Lelièvre’s idea, on March 23, 2014, 35 chefs of Châteaux & Hôtels Collection concocted in France Gala dinners in favor of Restos du Cœur.
For four years, Stéphane Lelièvre, chef-owner of Les Pins Penchés, Toulon’s gastronomic reference Toulon, have been organizing a gala dinner to benefit the Restos du Cœur in the Var.
As Les Pins Penchés is part of Châteaux & Hôtels Collection, created by Alain Ducasse, the world famous chef, seduced by the principle of this charity event, whished to make this generous idea a national event through its members.
Five charity dinners were simultaneously prepared in Annecy, Rennes, Strasbourg, Toulouse and of course, Toulon. The revenue that was collected during these exceptional dinners for the end of the winter campaign of Restos du Cœur, will be handed over to the association chaired by Véronique Colucci. It is the only national event that has obtained approval of the widow of the comedian Coluche.
At Les Pins Penchés, the charity gastronomic evening brought together 161 guests in the great hall. This dinner, orchestrated by Stéphane Lelièvre, brought together the talents of 10 big-hearted chefs among the greatest names of Provencal cuisine : Benoit Witz, (L’Hostellerie de l’Abbaye de la Celle), Ludovic Turac, (Une Table au Sud, Marseille), Benjamin Collombat, (Côté Rue, Draguignan), Sébastien Sanjou, (Le Relais des Moines, Les Arcs-sur-Argens), Jean-François Bérard, (L’Hostellerie Bérard, La Cadière-d’Azur), Stéphan Paroche, (La Magnanerie, Aubignosc), Christian Morisset, (Le Figuier de Saint-Esprit, Antibes) and Didier Chouteau, representing Dénis Fétisson, (L’Amandier de Mougins et Les Chênes Verts à Tourtour).
The partners of the event were: Sturia, TerreAzur, Illy, France Frais, France Boissons et Valrhona.
Each brought his little touch of personal talent to raise funds to meet the growing needs of the Restos du Cœur. The 16,000 Euros collected are a generous boost at the end of the winter season.
