A genuine Bible for Italian visitors, the tourist guide Costazzurra celebrated the release of its thirteenth edition on July 22 at the Hotel La Vague Saint Paul in Saint Paul de Vence.

For 13 years, the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Nice has been offering Italian tourists the best places of the French Riviera listed together in a pocket guide, the Costazzurra. Written in Italian, the guide is a useful and entertaining information support designed to give Italian visitors information and direction on the Riviera.

Italians love the French Riviera

Faithful to the French Riviera, its climate, its charms and gastronomy, transalpine travelers are estimated at 1 million, in addition to owners of a second home on the Côte d’Azur and the 50,000 Italian permanent residents. The pocket guide is the perfect tool to meet the multiple requirements of the transalpine customers. Italian tourist flows represent a major part of the millions of tourists on the Côte d’Azur: almost one tourist out of four indeed comes from the Bel Paese.

The best of the French Riviera

From Menton to Saint Tropez, all the best places for lovers of the beautiful coastline along the Mediterranean are to discover, to explore the heart of the Riviera, the sun and glamor. Costazzurra includes all the best places on the coast, selected by journalist Lilas Spak, from hotels to restaurants, real estate agencies, most suggestive itineraries and main attractions and a selection of shops.
Every year, the publication and distribution of the guide reaches 25 000 copies in order to satisfy the significant Italian presence on the coast, travelers or residents.

A free guide

Costazzurra is available free from July 2014, on both sides of the border, in all Tourist Offices partners of the Italian Chamber of Commerce, in the City Halls and in all places with high Italian attendance, in addition to the local and Italian CCI premices. It will offer many routes and gastronomic or cultural stops to discover the beautiful Mediterranean coast.
The guide provides detailed routes from Menton to St Tropez and into the hinterland. With practical tips and clever and judicious selection of addresses by Lilas Spak, columnist with humourous style for whom the French Riviera has no secret, it is a valuable aid to savor the unique charm of the Coast.
Following the success of previous editions, renewed and improved over the years, the nicest places on the Cote d’Azur “Best of” will accompany once again, the thirst for discovery of thousands of transalpine tourists.

Launch at La Vague de Saint Paul

La Vague de Saint Paul is Luxury 4-star Hotel Restaurant & Spa, a member of Phoenix Hotel Collection, located near the famous art village of Saint Paul de Vence, one of the most beautiful and picturesque village on the French Riviera.

Around Lilas Spak, many personalities, advertisers and local authorities came to La Vague de Saint Paul to celebrate the release of Costazzurra and exchange ideas during a networking evening filled with conviviality, set to music by a talented singer accompanied by a pianist.
The Italian Chamber of Commerce with President Patrizia Dalmasso, Vice-president Gérard Bosio, Director, Agostono Pesce commented the guide and announced that it will be in French as well in 2015.
Serena Lippi, General Consul of Italy, Dominique Estrosi-Sassone, Godmother of the guide, Laurence Navalesi, representing Mayor of Nice Christian Estrosi, and Guillaume Puig, Director of La Vague de Saint Paul, praised the quality of the pocket guide, a genuine invitation to discover the marvels of the French Riviera.
