Hotel Cantemerle & Spa just celebrated 30 years of dedication and high quality services in an enchanting site, offering wellness and nature in Vence.
The Hotel Cantemerle & Spa is a four-star hotel located in the hinterland of Nice, near the town of Vence and its historical site. This haven of peace deploys its charms in a private park of one hectare. Its lush vegetation consisting of palm trees, old pine trees, oleanders, all mixed with the cicadas and blackbirds singing (hence its name Cantemerle) and breathtaking views of the hills and the Mediterranean, make it a dream destination.
An ideal location between sea and mountains
The estate, which has been boasting the Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence for four consecutive years, has an ideal location, halfway between the sea, the mountains and the Nice Côte d’Azur Airport. Its proximity to cities of international fame like Cannes, Monaco and Saint Tropez, give an additional advantage to this exceptional place in the French Riviera.
The Hotel Cantemerle was born thirty years ago. Today, the new owners, Francine and Christian Eberhardt, have restores the prestige of this huge estate with a Provencal style, red and ocher tinted roof. They took advantage of the winter closure of the establshment to renovate the duplex in a contemporary Provencal style.
Using authentic materials
Open from late March to October, Hotel Cantemerle & Spa has 27 rooms (17 duplex, 8 superior rooms and one suite), arranged around the pool and garden with Mediterranean species.
Using genuine materials such as red hexagonal terracotta floor tiles or the furniture crafted by Galerie L’Eté from Tarascon brings the charm of Provence. From headboards to curtains, all the fabrics with warm colors, are made in France by the Olivades in Saint Remy de Provence in muted and bright colors that alternate in small touches. Works of contemporary art and lithographs adorn the walls to take the customer to the heart of a cultural trip.
La Table du Cantemerle restaurant
On the occasion of the anniversary of the hotel, the owners and chef Jérôme Heraud launched the new season of the gourmet restaurant La Table du Cantemerle. Chef Jérôme Héraud advocates the values of authenticity, hedonism and Provençal charm and draws his inspiration in the natural and Provencal atmosphere where he created a garden with herbs: thyme, bergamot, mint, planted around the patio and pool. This fan of terroir product takes special care to find suppliers loving their products. The chef offers an inventive menu, inspired by sea and terroir: Ravioli with “smoked on the spot” Shrimp and creamy Bisque with Lemongrass; grilled Ombrine, Eggplant caviar, Parmesan cheese and Citrus. The pastry chef Anne-Laure Schirrer offers a dark Chocolate Coque of raw Sao Tome ganache, heart of passion and prasla.
Jerome Héraud received in July 2013, the title of Maître Restaurateur.
Cantemerle Hotel & Spa offers during the season some original formulas: “Bulle de Bien-être”, “Seniors” or Culture in Vence, and, on Thursday evenings in July and August, the panoramic terrace on the poolside comes alive, at 20h (by reservation only), with a Live Music Dinner.
