Udaipur is an evocation of the sumptuous princely parties organized in the moonlight by the Maharaja of Udaipur Jagat Singh II. Vanessa Sitbon, nose and founder of the brand, found her inspiration in the Indian legend of the famous king of Udaipur, descendant of the God Sun, who built a majestic white marble palace on the banks of Lake Pichola in honor of his favorites.
The menagerie of the Rajah of Udaipur is the birthplace of Bagheera the panther, heroine of Rudyard Kipling‘s The Jungle Book and to the city was the setting for movies The Bengal Tiger by Fritz Lang and James Bond Roger Moore experienced there exciting and sensual adventures as James Bond in Octopussy.
