Mandelieu-La Napoule has inaugurated its new generation Tourist Office focused on digital, innovation and quality for the full satisfaction of the wishes of its visitors.
After more than a month and a half of work, Christine Lequilliec, 1st Deputyto the Mayor of Mandelieu-La Napoule and President of the Office of Tourism and Congress, inaugurated the Tourist Office of new generation. On Thursday, February 7, 2019, this event marked the culmination of the Office of Tourism development strategy focused on 3 main axes: digital, innovation and quality. Eager to be ever more attentive to the wishes of its visitors and customers, the Tourist Office was thus equipped with new means, new tools, and new forms of digital communication to offer.
New tools and souvenir shop
Rich with a completely redesigned, warm and relaxed decoration, the Tourist Office has also been equipped with new tools. Some backlit posters are constantly displaying the main information to visitors. Inside, the screens are broadcasting thematic videos showcasing the highlights of the moment. A shop offers a wide selection of souvenir ideas to offer, ranging from products “mimosa” – world star of the Mandolocéennes hills – to perfumes, from the snow globe to bags from the recycling banners from the Centre Expo Congrès information via quality books describing the riches of the region, as well as gourmet local products.
Tourist Office 2.0
Often a forerunner in the Alpes-Maritimes department for the last ten years, the Mandelieu-La Napoule Tourist Office was the first of its kind to integrate tourist information networks, such as that of APIDAE (base of online tourist and leisure information) in the Alpes-Maritimes. He was one of the first resellers of the Côte d’Azur Card, published by the Côte d’Azur Regional Committee for Tourism, or in 2014, to develop its own online sales platform.
A place of new uses experimentation
Looking today towards the future with, among others, obtaining the label Accueil Vélo to value the destination Mandelieu Sport by Nature, the will of digital expansion of the Tourist Office is concretized by the transformation of the structure into a real place for experimenting new uses related to information on leisure and events, like the start-up Time Enjoy, application that is referencing events. A partnership with the Amadeus Group, specializing in the organization of events for companies and individuals, allows the optimization of its touristic videos. The actions in social media have earned it more than 60,000 fans on his Facebook page.
Relationships of trust
All of these efforts illustrate the primary purpose of the Tourist Office: that of human council, based on relationships of trust between the client and his advisor. Today, in a perspective of constant improvement of the service provided, the notion of “council on stay” assumes its full scope, with a team able to respond in a very personalized and unique way to everyone’s needs in a redesigned, less institutional reception office, which invites to exchange and advice. The use of new tools and new uses thus makes it possible to improve customer relations thanks to an increased proximity favoring hospitality and human contact, at the heart of the tourism business.
