On Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 6:30 pm, the City of Nice offers a sumptuous show “Les Lumineoles” by the Company Portée par le Vent on the Water Mirror of the Promenade du Paillon in Nice.
From 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 28, at dusk, in the presence of Christian Estrosi, Deputy Mayor of Nice and President of Nice Côte d’ Azur Métropole, the City of Nice Nice offers the Niçois and Azuréens the end of year general public event in the French Riviera: “Les Lumineoles, Echassiers et Mademoiselle Paillette.”
The Company Portée par le Vent (Blown by the Wind) offers a sumptuous free show starting on the Place Massena to gently stretch along the Water Mirror of the Promenade du Paillon.
“Les Lumineoles” is a poetic and unique night show, which will offer first, on the Place Massena and in the gardens, the wandering of dreamlike and light characters – three 6-meter high stilt-walkers – and a violinist. Then the Christmas angels will appear, accompanied by a dancer and a flower character.
Gradually, the angels will reach for the sky, deploying their slender wings, and then, in a transparent bubble, will appear a dancer with fairy sparkling appearance. The magic will continue to liven up this poetic ballet when four Luminéoles, large birds of light and changing colors, begin a wind dance in the sky, immersing the audience in contemplation and poetry.
The Lumineoles are poetic light structures 15 meters long, driven on the Water Mirror by manipulators installed inside large bright lilies.
