Many international stars graced the Croisette and delighted the large audience gathered on Monday 8 April at the 50th MIPTV Opening Party Red Carpet rolled out in front of the Martinez Hotel in Cannes.
Reed MIDEM’s CEO Paul Zilk, Jérôme Delhaye, Director, Entertainment Division and Laurine Garaude, Director, Television Division welcomed – among others – Thandie Newton, Famke Janssen, Gene Simmons, Eli Roth, Christophe Lambert, Clotilde Courau, Mark Strong, Max Irons, Caterina Murino, Tom Riley, Lennie James, Félix Baumgartner who offered their smiles to cameras lenses. All came to the French Riviera and Cannes to celebrate MIPTV 50th birthday and present the series they star on. As the International Digital Emmy® Awards was taking place during the Opening Party, thirteen groups of Digital Emmy® Awards nominees and VIP guests have walked the Red Carpet. At the end of the parade, the stars gathered around the MIPTV 50th anniversary cake for the cake photo.
