Sunreef 80 LEVANTE World Premiere at Cannes Boat Show

Moving forward in the field of large yacht design, Sunreef Yachts presented 6 yachts at Cannes Interntational Boat Show introducing as a World Premiere the Sunreef 80 LEVANTE from the Sunreef 80 Carbon Line, sailing catamaran concept based on light displacement, performance and speed.

Polish shipyard Sunreef Yachts, founded in 2002 by French Francis Lapp, has become a market leader in “custom made” luxury  catamarans from 60 to 200 feet. Made out of advanced composite sandwich combining vinylester, carbon/glass fiber and PVC foam, the Sunreef 80 LEVANTE boasts a carbon mast and boom in-house made, standing rigging with Kevlar and a total sail area of 340 sqm, all that allowing her to weigh only 45T lightship. The sleek and sporty exterior line was conceived by Sunreef Yachts to reduce windage and water resistance.
The yacht has been designed for fast sailing and can easily reach 15 knots with maximum speeds on sails set for 20+ knots.
Sunreef 80 LEVANTE keeps her balance no matter the wind conditions. She is very easy to maneuver and the steering is very comfortable. Moreover, this yacht is equipped with a system which enables testing the load on the rig when under sail thanks to 12 load pins set on the mast and rigging. From the cockpit, the skipper is able to check the load and adjust sails accordingly to pushing the boat to a safe maximum speed at all times. A black box registering this data is installed on the catamaran and Sunreef Yachts, having access to it, will gather information to better adjust the rig on all its future yachts.
The yacht is designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests and 4 crew. The portside hull comprises one guest cabin with a bathroom, a fully equipped galley and two crew cabins. The starboard hull features one guest and one children’s cabin, both with private en-suite bathrooms, and the owner’s dressing room and bathroom directly accessible from the master suite on the main deck. For the very first time on a Sunreef single deck catamaran, the owner suite is located on the main deck. This means that the internal cockpit comprises the navigation station, dining area, lounge zone and the owner suite on the front right. As is the case for all Sunreef catamarans, the cockpit and flybridge features dining areas, sunbathing pads and extended storage.
The interior design represents a modern and minimalist style based on white and grey colours with touches of a fresh blend of strong, modern colours.
