Always inventive and ludic, the Fete du Canal de la Siagne offers many refreshing activities for children and adults across the 10 Azurean towns along the canal one of the most beautiful rivers in France, the Siagne, including a treasure hunt in the footsteps of Lord Brougham, initiator of the canal.

Two major events

The 2015 edition is exceptionally illustrated by two major events. Jean Jouzel, vice-chairman of the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) and Bernard Buigues, global specialist of mammoths, will give a conference on Friday, September 4, as a preview of the feast on the theme of climate change.
Three months ahead of the COP21 in Paris, this conference will offer a good understanding of water issues in our region, correlate with those that climate changes could induce.

Treasure hunt in the footsteps of Lord Brougham

The Fete du Canal de la Siagne organizes a ludic rally from to hunt a treasure in the footsteps of Lord Brougham and discover the Siagne Canal, with family or friends, with many puzzles to solve as well as sporting events to overcome to get the final clues. Many nice prizes to win for the teams that will have gathered the most clues to find the final anagram.
As every year, children and adults can participate in many activities on the theme of water, fun and educational workshops, water games, hiking, and shows specially designed for all for this 10th edition in association with the artists collective Totipotent.

A heritage work essential for life

From the mountains to the sea, more than 130 free activities offered to the public in ten cities over the Siagne Canal from Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne to Cannes, will celebrate this important piece of heritage built in 1868 and water essential to life in an edition celebrating 10 years of the Fête du Canal de la Siagne to which all residents from the Cannes-Grasse area are invited.

Ten years of dedication to drinking water

The SICASIL, municipal association of drinking water in the agglomeration of Cannes and its delegate, SUEZ, has been organizing the Fête du Canal de la Siagne for 10 years. During this authentic annual event, the continued to crowd to discover or rediscover this historical work that has shaped the Riviera landscape as we know it today.
For 10 years, the Festival of the Siagne Canal hosted more than 70,000 people on different sites of the festival and offered educational workshops on water to arouse the curiosity of children, enrich their knowledge on water and so make them aware of the importance of preserving this vital resource.
Ten years of shows and events to raise awareness of the importance of water and thereby engage to save and to respect it.

Highlights of the Fête du Canal de la Siagne milestone

Visit of the Grotto of Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne: accompanied by a guide, you can discover the splendid underground riches carved by water.

Ride electric bicycle at the Marigarde in Grasse on the covered canal.

Kites show by Festi’vol (10h15 14h30,16h30) on the Pre Fontmerle in Mougins.

Aperitif of honor offered to all at noon in Peymeinade with an acrobatic show in the trees.

Award-giving ceremony to the winners of the rally in Mougins at 18pm.

Many original shows to celebrate water and the canal performed by artists from different disciplines.
