Vins et Gastronomie magazine celebrated thirty years of tireless dedication to the art de vivre, gastronomy by great talented chefs and wines that magnify their creations.

Launched in 1985 by Yves Sacuto, Vins et Gastronomie in now a luxury quarterly magazine distributed in 27 French-speaking countries and Japan. To celebrate with pomp the 30th anniversary of the gourmet magazine, Yves Sacuto and Pierre Jamar, deputy editor, called upon the talent of 30 local chefs who turned the Plage du Festival in Cannes into a Gastronomy Festival where 500 guests created their own gourmand itinerary.

Vins et Gastronomie Magazine / Tourism International is distributed in 27 French-speaking countries and Japan. Feet in the water gastronomic festival

Pierre Jamar, faithful assistant editor, in charge of Vins et Gastronomie development since 2010, introduced the 30 top chefs from the region, some boasting one Michelin-star or two, others MOF (Meilleur Ouvrier de France), and the partners to this beautiful birthday who showcased their products of excellence.
Yves Sacuto, the Director and founder of the magazine, thanked Gui Gedda, dean of the event, for its traditional Provencal cuisine and Jacques Chibois for his faithfulness, Valérie Gori, editor and organizer of the evening and all his friends, for accompanying him for 30 years in this great adventure.
At his side, Claire-Anne Reix, President of the Palais des Festivals and Congresses, Municipal Councillor representing David Lisnard, Mayor of Cannes, told the pleasure of Cannes, destination of prestige, to host such an outstanding event.

“Petits plats” and “grands vins”

During the gastronomy and wine pairings evening, the numerous guests could stroll along the tasting booths. Their gourmet palates could enjoy the savory culinary creations concocted for the occasion by the 30 chefs with a glass of fresh Rosé de Provence. The champagne flowing freely gave this birthday party a festive and joyful touch. And to finish off the evening, Armagnac and cigars were enjoyed feet in the sand, in comfortable chairs, under a starry sky, facing the big blue surrounded by the bay of Cannes, to the languorous sound of the waves softly licking the beach.
