The Village De Noël In Cannes is a winter wonderland the mayor of Cannes David Lisnard offered the Cannois and tourists for the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The Royal Gift, a luminous 5-meter high and 7-meter wide arch, at the entrance of the Village de Noël on the Allées de la Liberté, symbolizes the desire of Mayor of Cannes David Lisnard to offer residents and tourists a joyful Christmas celebration.
From November 28, 2014 to January 4, 2015, children and adults can marvel at the village flowing with light, packed with original gift ideas and mouth-watering products.
Santa’s Bride musical
The Christmas Village on the Allées de la Liberté was inaugurated on December 5, 2014 by Gilles Cima, Deputy to festivals and musical events, and members of the City Council. At the same time, an ice rink was inaugurated by another “royal gift”: the “Santa’s Bride” musical by the Holiday on Ice skaters. The tale on ice tells – for the delight of young and old children – how Rupert Christmas, Santa’s son, replaces his father “au patin levé” with the help of his fiancée Mary Christmas for the gifts distribution. Many comic characters appear to try helping or create a joyful acrobatic jumble.
Luminous Village de Noël
A luminous starry sky in the main aisle enhances the new setting of the 56 chalets grouped by theme. Near the bandstand, one can find a gourmet corner and free entertainment for children from 14h30 to 18h. One hundred illuminated Christmas trees ornate the Christmas Village.
The visitors can find gift ideas from craftsmen as well as delicatessen such as foie gras, salmon, truffles, caviar…, or oysters from Oléron, Corsican and Italian products, or even, wine of stars and specialties one can be enjoyed on wooden tables available to the public.
The ice rink, with an area of 200 square meters, will be opened from December 6, 2014 to January 4, 2015 from 10h30 to 20h00. Admission is free with loan of blades. Access will be reserved for children from 4 to 10 years every morning between 10h30 and 12h30.
