Cuisine & Littérature en Fête (Cuisine & Literature Festival)
The village of La Colle-sur-Loup, populated with indomitable Collois fighting for the promotion of good food and good drink has hosted for a whole festive day on June 3, 2012, the stars of the gourmet and oenological book writers.
The Cuisine et Littérature en Fête program was presented on June 2 evening in the presence of the authors and the soirée was liven up by the Butterfly Trio, violin, accordion and double bass, with their french songs and world music.
Under a bright sun, the second edition of Cuisine & Littérature en Fête (Kitchen & Literature Festival) attracted nearly 10,000 "gourmands" in the streets and squares of the charming village of La Colle sur Loup. In a friendly atmosphere, visitors were able to get autograph books and talk to the many authors present with ease. Including Babette Rozières (C to you on France 5) who has enjoyed the popularity she generated. At the bend of the different places of the village, the public was delighted to attend the demonstrations of colorful Norbert Tarayre, star of the last Top Chef on M6. Kitchen Tv's Eric Léautey met his fans and showed his kindness and his talent. Also cooking off, Gui Gedda, Pope of Mediterranean cuisine, Alain Llorca starred prodigy from La Colle sur Loup, his brother Jean-Michel, king of pastry, which ensured the show with an "O my cake" that will be remembered.
Masterchef 2010's Georgiana Viou has filled the ballroom with humor, Yves Terillon shared his love of edible flowers and Anne Garabedian and Carine Aigon did an enjoyed duet. Alain Biles, chef of tropezian evenings, proposed a mullet that audiences have savored with delight. Francis Scordel from the Colle sur Loup Atelier des Saveurs paid tribute to Yves Klein - a native son - with his friend Yohann Gourdon. An attentive audience attended the lectures of Jean-François Mesplède (former director of the Michelin guide), the surprising Nicolas Bré's molecular experiments and discovered the richness of Chinese cuisine along with Yu Zhu. Brigitte Leloup is a sommelier about it - throughout the day - captivated his audience hungry for knowledge of winemaking and wine and food pairing. This year the first marathon of food photo was launched and the jury of photographers Aline Gerard, Philippe Martineau and Jean-Philippe Garabedian has decided between competitors.
Gourmet stands run by regional artisans have offered local quality products for sale: rose buns, gingerbread, jam, blette pies, olive oil, honey, goat cheese, chocolates... Baptiste Traiteur, a local producer present at all the La Colle feasts, was proposing an original and delicious brioche scented «à la rose» whose composition is a well-kept secret...
"I wanted to make this event a big party around the pleasures of the table. To see all these people - visitors, authors, chefs, Collois - happy and smiling in the village, confirms my idea, "said Marc Brunoy, designer of the event.
Photo exhibition
Jean-Philippe Garabedian, food photographer, was presenting "Hmm! ... ", work on cooking and food at the Tourist Office. The photographer applied a blurring effect on some part of the photographed dishes.
