Colors of China rise at Theâtre de Verdure in Nice
On August 22, in Nice Theâtre de Verdure, the Beijing Dance Academy fascinating company has offered a scenic journey through the many provinces of the country, with the dance show entitled "Why are flowers so red, or dance with a bowl on the head", whose choreography is inspired by myths and popular legends. With the collaboration of the city of Nice, this free show, attended by Muriel Marland Militello, Deputy to the Mayor, Delegate to the cultural, European affairs and organization of the Francophonie games, Rudy Salles, Deputy to the Mayor, Delegate to tourism, international relations and animation of the neighborhoods, and the Chinese delegation with the General Consul of the Republic of China in Marseille, and Long Song Binglin Yuxiang, executive director of the Center for international broadcast of Chinese culture. Nice and Brive la Gaillarde are the only two cities in France to receive the most prestigious school in the state of China, established in 1954, bringing together the best dancers in the country.
For this evening of song and dance, with many colors and traditional pictures of Chinese life, an invitation to travel to the provinces, such as Mongolia and very rhythmic dances with sticks, or to the vastness of Manchuria. A dozen dances representing great moments of history and Chinese tales, where divine beings go alongside mortals, were performed by 25 exceptional dancers and actors from the Beijing Dance Academy, dancing sometimes solo, who have woven delicate atmospheres build without decorated panoramas, to blow the wind of the steppes, give a glimpse of the graceful balance of flowers including the lotus, symbol of harmony who inaugurated this evening full of magic, or tell a love story.
