On January 17, 2012 at Palais Nikaia in Nice, in the presence of all the elected officials of the city, Christian Estrosi, Deputy Mayor of Nice, President of Nice Côte d'Azur, following the speech by Ms Anne Boquet, Prefect of the Alpes Maritime, has expressed good wishes to all agents of the City of Nice, of the Centre Communal d'Action Sociale and their families. The ceremony was an opportunity for Christian Estrosi to salute the work of staff employed by the Nice area and mobilize them around projects and challenges ahead with the birth of the Metropolis. He put forward the arrival of the agents of the new Metropolis by sending them a warm welcome, by showing his confidence and esteem, thanking them for the additional experience they bring to their work, praising their dedication for the benefit of all, at every hour of the day and night, their competence, their application and accuracy, their conscience, their courage and conviction in the fields of childhood, attention for seniors, maintenance of green spaces, creating new housing, the construction of new roads, clean streets and public spaces, safety, beauty and quality of daily life, and he pointed out, that if Nice in 3 years was embellished, it was thanks to them. He said he was also pleased to see major projects materialize, such as that of the stadium or the beautiful gardens of the Green Corridor, the site of the South Railway Station, giving new face and new destiny for the city and its territory through an elite team in an area of exception; he said he was proud of their work. For the Metropolis, a voluntarily wanted territory, a municipal autonomy, greater proximity, solidarity (sanitation, road "black point", dry dock of Beaulieu), greater economic dynamism, employment and purchasing power. Christian Estrosi wants a territory where living for the old and children will cessely continue, a dynamic and innovative territory, a bold and recognized territory, an area of excellence and happiness, at last, a unique territory in the world. A territory that will keep both his soul while living fully in today and tomorrow's world, without losing its identity and not missing the opportunities the future. After having extensively praised the beauties offered by the region preceding the screening of a film about the many accomplishments of Nice, Christian Estrosi said "That's all this we work for, for women and men who live here and who love this land.
