David Lisnard is calling for widespread action to cope with all the shocks of 2012
In Cannes, on January 23, 2012, 8:30 p.m., Mr David Lisnard, first deputy mayor of Cannes and Departmental Councillor of the Alpes-Maritimes, has presented his greetings for the New Year to more than 1,200 Cannois gathered in the JW Marriott Hotel Salon Méditerranée. Alongside the municipal elected majority led by Deputy Mayor Bernard Brochand, were the Mayor of Théoule-sur-Mer and local councillors from Auribeau-sur-Siagne, Le Cannet, Mandelieu La Napoule, St. Vallier de Thiey, Vallauris, etc… Many socio-professional unions (Hoteliers, Taxis, Beach-Managers, Initiatives) and traders and neighborhood associations were also present.
In a speech on both national and local issues, Mr Lisnard called for a general mobilization to cope with shocks of 2012, while setting the date for spring 2014. Taking stock of the past year, David Lisnard has showed his support for those with difficulties, those who are are isolated, confronting the crisis. He has not failed to note, in a context of general crisis, the success of Cannes: obtaining, at the head of SICASIL (Cannes basin water syndicate), a down in the price of water of 23%, the financial strength of the city confirmed by the Cannes rating increase by the agency Standard & Poor's -an exception among local cities - , the opening, in his district, by the General Council, of a Home for autistic adults that he has actively supported with the Department, the opening of the new hospital, the opened or inaugurated sites (Cannes Maria, new train station, the White Palace, the Quai Saint-Pierre, the Square Mistral, the Bivouac Napoleon Street, etc..) the hosting of the G20 and the growth in business and recreational tourism, and finally, 7,152 actions taken as part of its delegation to the Policy districts to meet the daily expectations of Cannes inhabitants.
Taking up with the year 2012, David Lisnard called all the Cannois for for widespread, proactive and positive action to cope with the shocks of the coming year, both at national and
local level: shock of competitiveness for France, shock of electoral and wider-speaking citizen mobilization and shock of hope, especially for the youth. Citing the Cannes underway or planned main projects, David Lisnard reaffirmed his commitment alongside the Cannois and the need for further action to promote the prosperity of the city, pledge of solidarity and quality of life: "Economy precedes the social because without prior prosperity, solidarity comes down to share the shortage. I hope that in this global context so uncertain for businesses, including retail, SME, SOHO, we do of 2012 in Cannes the year of entrepreneurs. " On the eve of national elections (presidential and legislative), David Lisnard has also called for a shock of citizen mobilization. Telling first of all his support to the President of the Republic, David Lisnard of course confirmed his support to and called for gathering around Bernard Brochand for next June legislative elections. After his address, after enumerating a set of concrete proposals for developing and making of Cannes a city of creative economy as well as different measures to the destination of youth, David Lisnard recalled that the time of the campaign was not yet come, but remained more than ever to the action, without dodging more distant municipal elections: "The year 2012 is that of presidential and legislative battles, then of the beginning of the preparation for municipal elections. Your support gives me energy for the twelve months of the year, it gives me some for even beyond, at least until the crucial deadline of Spring 2014, that we will reach together, and victoriously! "
