International Festival of Children’s Rights
The fifth International Festival of Children's Rights took place on June 18 and 19, 2011 on the Esplanade Pantiero. Performances, events, conferences, debates, demonstrations and sports or recreational activities with associations that work for children were offered during these two days. Organized by the Education Action 06 with the support of the City of Cannes, the Festival helps to promote and defend the rights of the child, to inform the public about the situation of children worldwide, to raise funds to be allocated to support an association working on behalf of children, or to showcase the talent and the works of children or adolescents. A way to remember everyone that the smallest and the weakest in our society need protection and a watchful eye to be kept on them.
