After nine months of renovations, the Rue de Mimont is again open to traffic. The street is lined with a pedestrian path made of pavement in limestone from Portugal and embellished with palm trees and orange trees. Mr Bernard Brochand, mayor of Cannes,  was moved when he evoked his childhood in the surroundings and Mr David Lisnard, First Deputy declared that the precinct Prado-Republique is developing and that the future was in the area, especially with the Saint Nicolas parking. Elected officials walked the street preceded by a Jazz orchestra and the highlight of the inauguration was a fashion show by local designer Eva Kiba
