"Intuitions", a stroke of genius!
Considered as one of the most talented pastry chefs of his generation, Jerome De Oliveira creates his first Pastry - Delicacies room, poetically called "Intuitions by J.", on the threshold of the 5-star Five Hotel & Spa in Cannes. Since the age of 4, Jerome has always wanted to be a pastry chef. Born into a family where the love of cooking and good things is felt everywhere, he had immediately a passion for pastry and the creativity that this art allows to explore. He has fun in associating perfumes, in the game of textures, shapes, colors... in the limitless richness of fondness for delicacies. Originally from Lyon, he served there his scholarship and his diploma of the Ecole Nationale Superieure de la Patisserie in hand, he made his debut alongside a great name: Sebastien Bouillet at the Relais Desserts International. Wanting to move forward with his idol, Jerome succeded in integrating the Christophe Michalak's brigade at the Plaza Athénée in Paris. Jerome shows he likes the challenge and competition goes right for him as he won the "Mondial des Arts Sucrés" in 2007, and achieved his dream in 2009 by becoming the youngest World Champion of Pastry at just 23 years. After 5 years at the Plaza, he left his place as second chef in april 2011 and faces a new challenge by moving into Cannes to create the pastry "Intuitions by J. ", expression of all his generosity. "Intuitions by J." is a sum of ideas, desires and inspirations that Jerome de Olivera wants to express in each of his creations and share them. In the world of Intuitions: entremets, tarts, religieuses, cakes, pastries alongside ice-creams, macarons, chocolate candies and other chocolate bars... Without forgetting the carousel of sweets arranged in large glass jars: marshmallows, caramels, nougats, dragées, pralines, candied fruit and many other surprises... To eat in or take away, to the delight of young and old alike!
