Italy round the table

For the 15th consecutive year under sunny skies, the exhibition "Italy Round the  Table" put up from june 2 to 5, for the great Ascension weekend its marquees of white linen in the alleys of the Jardin Albert 1er on the Place Massena in Nice. Organized by the Nice - Sophia Antipolis - Côte d'Azur Italian Chamber of Commerce, the exhibition of tasting and sales of Italian products was inaugurated by Deputy-Mayor Christian Estrosi in the presence of many personalities. The cheerful and friendly atmosphere during these four days helped to make it an unmissable event for a growing clientele of amateurs of exceptional quality products, coming from different Italian soils, such as black truffles or cooked pork meats of all kinds, and of course olive oil with matchless colors and scents without forgetting the magnificent cheese "tomes" boasting their slightly tart flavors accompanied by excellent regional wines. The exhibitors represented the 10 most gastronomic regions such as Emilia Romagna, Piedmont, Veneto, Liguria, Umbria, Lazio, Marche, Sardinia, Puglia and Sicily.

The event was punctuated by conferences such as culture and cuisine of Italy, recipe demonstrations with the cooperation of French chefs, industry professional meetings, cooking classes in Italian language, taste education for kinds with the distribution of 22,000 meals in 120 schools in Nice, and a musical evening. A contest was also organized with the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Galeries Lafayette Nice Massena. A Vip space installed in the center of the room could accommodate journalists and other guests for a relaxing moment, a coffee break, or tasting of the offered food specialties.

Meanwhile, in MUSEAAV Place Garibaldi, artist Chiara Samugheo, renowned Italian photographer, was invited to the museum with a photographic exhibition of portraits of protagonists of the film "La Dolce Vita".
