Bivouac-Napoleon pedestrianized street : give back to the Cannois what belonged to Napoleon
On saturday 19, the Deputy-Mayor of Cannes, Mr Bernard Brochand has inaugurated the pedestrianized part of the Rue Bivouac-Napoleon, a street parallel to the Croisette, next to the palais des festivals. Right on the spot where Napoleon and his soldiers had bivouacked in february 1815 when he came back to France. The car parks have been removed, replaced by jardinières planted with orange-trees and restaurants are now granted with larger terraces to welcome their customers. Thus, what once belonged to Napoleon was given back to the Cannois.
