Mandelieu Second-Hand Boat Show

21st Mandelieu-La Napoule Second-Hand Boat Show

Mandelieu-La Napoule is one of major France destinations for yachting with its 5,000 berth for 8 ports. From April 21-25, 2011, Port La Napoule welcomed the 21st Boat Show displaying 400 second-hand boats. Since its creation in 1991 by brokers from Port La Napoule, the festival of the second-hand boats in Mandelieu-La Napoule has become one European benchmark of spring second-hand boat shows.

This event bring visitors to meet some 85 marine professionals representing each year more than 200 brands at the very beginning of the yachting season and allow them to buy at once a boat for the summer, chosen among 400 boats from 3 to 26 meters less than ten years old spread over the 10,000 square feet of exhibition and 2 km of wharf. The vast majority are motor-boats but a few sail boats are as well on sale. Prices ranges from around 10,000 € up to 2,2 millions € for a 28 m Guy Couach yacht. Because of the financial crisis, many ships can be purchased at an unusual affordable price.

The Mandelieu-La Napoule Second-Hand Boat Show owes its success to a long-lasting harmonious complicity between three actors (bottom photo, from left to right) : Mr Pierre-Louis Roucaries, Director of the Mandelieu-La Napoule Tourism Office, Mr Christian Bigot, President of Port La Napoule, and Mr Roland Milazzo, organizer of the Second-Hand Boat Show. On Sunday 24th, Mr Henri Leroy, Mayor of Mandelieu-La Napoule invited participants and exhibitors to a cocktail at the La Napoule wonderful castle.
