For 21 years Mouton Cadet has been the official wine supplier at the Cannes International Film Festival. Illustrating the international success of Mouton Cadet (the best selling Bordeaux in the world) Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA and Rothschild France Distribution have created, for the second year running, a special, original and exclusive place: the Mouton Cadet Wine Bar.
With excellent location on the terrace of the Palais des Festivals, an unobstructed view over the bay of Cannes and, finally, an exclusive space away from the hustle and bustle of Cannes, the Mouton Cadet Wine bar has once again seduced the famous faces of the Festival.
Open exclusively with appointment to approved members, the Mouton Cadet Wine Bar bears witness to the historic links between Mouton Cadet and the world of Cinema as well as the strong ties that unite the organisation of the Festival and Baron Philippe de Rothschild, and also the wish to place at the disposition of these celebrities of the film world a unique and protected place for moments of work or relaxation.
Mouton Cadet, the official supplier, is present during the celebrations of the Festival, as well as during the opening and closing dinners and during official events within the walls of the Palais. It is also served in the various partner locations such as Nikki Beach, Place Orange, the Canal+ patio, Five and also Hôtel Majestic and its beach. In 2012, the Mouton Cadet Wine Bar hosted press junkets and welcomed stars from films such as Paperboy, Moonrise Kingdom, MUD, On the Road and Lawless, and has been present at the prestigious lunches and dinners such as the private dinner of Nicole Kidman and HBO, the dinner of the team of Michael Haneke's Amour (Love) - Palme d’Or -
with Jean-Louis Trintignant, the launch evening of the film The Hunt, with Mads Mikkelsen (Best Actor Award) the lunch of the Association d’Entraide aux Cinéastes and also the cocktail party of the Jury at the end of the Festival.
2012 marks a great year for the Mouton Cadet Wine Bar, with the presence of many famous faces: Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Viggo Mortensen, Clive Owen, Joshua Jackson, Shia Laboeuf, Jessica Chastain, Kristen Stewart, Reese Witherspoon, Jean-Paul Rappeneau, Tom Hardy, Zac Efron, John Cusack, Garrett Hedlung, Matthew McConaughey, Gad Elmaleh, Fréderic Lopez as well as the members of the jury (Nanni Moretti, Hiam Abbas, Andrea Arnold, Emmanuelle Devos, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Ewan McGregor, Diane Kruger, Alexander Payne, Raoul Peck).
