Paysages apprivoisés
Paysages apprivoisés
Cannes hospital becomes a landscape
As part of the concept Art Hospital, the Espace Miramar receives the exhibition «Paysages apprivoisés» (Tame Landscapes). The inauguration was attended by Frederic Ballester, Director of the Malmaison Art Centre, Mr Lefebvre, Director of the new hospital and Mr. Corbier Cannes Deputy Commissioner for Culture and the two artists, Lionel Gauci and Emilie Saubestre. These two young photographers from Cannes have studied abroad, and finally return to their hometown, graduates of photo schools. The Art Hospital project was launched a year ago after going to meet the new hospital in Cannes, and as visual artist in photography, they went to explore and photograph the various services to raise awareness to this place of life and open it to art with an inside look full of sensitivity and intelligence and a set of lights that despite difficult working conditions due to bad weather, challenge and seduce the visitors’ neophyte eye.
In addition of the Art Hospital photography exhibition, some sculptures from Arman, Cristobal Gabarron, Pierre Theunissen are part of the scenography.
Exhibition from July 1 to August 28, 2011
