The traditional Saint Pierre and Navy votive festival led to three days of celebrations from July 2 to 4 in Vallauris Golfe-Juan with highlights like the mass in honor of the saint patron in the little Saint Pierre church, the procession, with Saint Pierre (St. Peter) at the head, towards the port of Golfe Juan. Saint Pierre was taken at sea for the traditional throw of spray of flowers in honor of the sailors who died at sea. Then some thirty boats took the start of the St. Peter ‘s regatta. But the largest feast was the «Sardinade», meal of grilled sardines on the Port of Golfe juan, where a large hungry crowd could savor delicious barbecued sardines. The silver and crispy delights were washed down with rosé wine and the banquet was held in a friendly atmosphere maintained by an orchestra.
