Other ways of sculpture in Mougins Eco Parc
On June 19, the Mougins Eco Parc welcomed the exhibition "Sculpture Autrement" or the art of diverting a manufactured article, organized by the association "Contemporary Art and Côte d'Azur" opened in the presence of Mr. Richard Galy, Mayor of Mougins. This exhibition is part of a broader theme on Contemporary Art: the "Experimentation 195162011", with some other exhibitions held in several towns in the Riviera on the same theme. Some sixty works by artists from the Riviera are presented to the public, all dealing with the artistic side of the object, such as a bronze by Armand (painter, sculptor and visual artist), entitled "Final Agreement", or the Ben 's work , sculpture and object and three works made in 1958, 1962 and 1963, and also Cesar, French sculptor, with works entitled "Compression car, circa" (1960), "Compression cardboard" (1975), "Compression fabric" (1976), "Car body compressed" (1989). For this occasion, in front of the Eco Park was installed a Yurt, a small nod to sustainable development, in which the town of Mougins has invested. Children were also of the party, invited to create sculptures, modeled on those presented in the exhibition.
