Sixty Shot Dream by Delphine Tomaselli, photographer
The city of Cannes had entrusted a photographer, Delphine Tomaselli, to immortalize the sixtieth anniversary of the Festival de Cannes. It is through 60 photographs that Delphine Tomaselli, by her look and her perception of the event, propose a distanced approach to this event in order to reveal its part of shade. It is indeed boldly and mischievously that Delphine Tomaselli traveled the vitality of the Festival to discretely interfere in the heart of its privacy. Her task then was lying in the fact of intercepting human attitudes subject to approval of time and environment, but also in the interception on faces of men and women participating in the project, the mystery of a mood to share. Our look on the Festival de Cannes will not escape unscathed, but enriched with an intimate vision, of great humanity. In private, it is sometimes in the back of the set, where accessories of a story are stored, that one can meet by surprise some lost actors. Chronologically, these fixed moments are sometimes revealed in unexpected and disturbing details that stand out from the daily town reality, with a final conclusion in the opening on the event of the Festival de Cannes 60th anniversary, which also offers its limousines with tinted windows.
