The new Square Mistral

Renovation of the Square Mistral

The Square Mistral, created in 1864 (under the name of Brougham Square), is a small oasis of greenery overlooking the sea at the west of Cannes along the Midi Beaches.

The process of improvement and total renovation of the square Mistral has lasted from April to July. The aisles have been re-coated with "Esterel red " coating as well as the edges of flower-beds. A petanque ground has been laid out, the children's playground has been renovated and games changed. Many plantations have been realized. At last, the garden was completely enclosed and its surroundings

beautified. On top of this, one may admire the entire lighting renewal, the beautification of the flower beds, the creation of a perimeter wall and a wrought iron fence to do away with the nuisance at night.

The renewal of the Square Mistral has been inaugurated by Mr Bernard Brochand, Deputy-Mayor of Cannes and his first Deputy, Mr David Lisnard, in presence of many elected deputies and neighbors.
