G 20 YES Summit in Nice

G 20 for Young Entrepreneurs in Nice

Nice hosted the G20 Young Entrepreneur Summit from October 31 to November 2 at Nice Edhec School. This summit brought together 400 business leaders from 20 countries under the auspices of Mr Grégoire Sentilhes, President of G20 YES, accompanied by M. Bernard Kleynhoff, President of the CCI Nice Côte d'Azur (Chamber of Commerce and Industry). The G20 YES summit, organized by the "Journées de l'Entrepreneur" (Days of the Entrepreneur) with the help of the CCI, had three objectives: to promote and improve understanding of the vital role played by entrepreneurs in growth, job creation and innovation; identify actions to promote the role of the entrepreneur with the young, feed the governments with recommendations; allow entrepreneurs around the world to exchange and share their experiences with those involved in the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the 20 largest economies in the world. 20 entrepreneurs the most representative and emblematic of each country, that is to say 400 entrepreneurs from around the world, aged 18-45 years have met for 4 days of work, around workshops in order to bring out and finalize key proposals designed to help young people to become "entrepreneurs of their own destiny" that were presented on Nov. 4 to Xavier Bertrand, French Minister of Minister of Labour, Employment and Health. International conferences took place with keynotes from high level speakers. Two world-famous companies contributed to the G20 YES: Mc Kinsey & Company and Ernst & Young, to elaborate a barometer of entrepreneurial confidence, to provide G20 countries with a simple tool to measure their entrepreneurship. One of the main issues of the G20 YES conferences has been: can entrepreneurship be taught to young generations?

Two evening were programmed for relaxing and networking: the first at the Acropolis Bowling and the other at Villa Massena were young entrepreneurs could meet high-ranking official around Mr Christian Estrosi, Deputy-Mayor of Nice.
