Happy 10th Birthday, ILTM !
ILTM facilitated almost 50,000 individual meetings between the industry’s elite in Cannes from December 5 to 8. By introducing over 1250 high-end travel suppliers to over 1250 VIP buyers, the 10th anniversary edition of ILTM demonstrated the major importance of this «invitation-only» meeting point for the industry’s movers and shakers. ILTM also offered insights for the future of luxury travel through the Ultratravel Forum that unveiled news trends: luxury travelers desires, taste, behavior and attitudes are shifting towards simple pleasures and value and from conspicuous luxury to caring service. Authentic, closer-to-nature, sustainability-oriented experiences are privileged. We thus searched for original proposals and focused on hotels offering significant added-value and destinations presenting meaningful, holistic or environmental commitment.
Gastronomy has also now become one of the most important factors to luxury travelers from every corner of the globe. We thus focused on Relais & Chateaux for the luxury culinary experiences and their Michelin starred Chefs, some of them having delighted guests at the Relais & Châteaux Gastronomic Bar in the venue.
Ultratravel Forum : 2012 will be tough but travel and tourism will grow
On Monday 5th December, the annual Ultratravel Forum at the Palais des Festivals Grand Auditorium, kicked off the 10th anniversary edition of ILTM in front of over two thousands invited guests. The ILTM Ultratravel Forum welcomed a experts to display trends and ideas, insights and innovations that are currently driving luxury travel industry. Nick perry, Chaiman Ultratravel, introduced John Andrews lecture on the world in 2012.
ILTM 10th anniversary Opening party at Martinez Hotel
On Tuesday 6th December, the Martinez Hotel hosted the ILTM Opening Party, a luxurious social event bringing together delegates and guests around champagne and delicious dishes. This year’s 10th anniversary had a glamourous touch with the arrival of five gorgeous Miss Universe. The party continued with a concert by british soul diva Beverly Knight whose powerful voice know how to be delicate and touching.
