New technology-advanced AMEL 55 launched in Cannes
Building on the success of AMEL 64, selected finalist in category 'sailing luxury cruise' for the price of European boat of the year 2012, the AMEL Company, settled in La Rochelle since 1968, designed AMEL 55 taking inspiration directly from the same lines, modern and elegant. The new AMEL style now comes in two sizes. The project AMEL 55 was developed and conducted according to the shipyard latest developments in terms of performance, visibility, intelligence and comfort facilities, while remaining faithful to the basic AMEL course. The 55 comes in two versions: three double cabins in standard or, optionally, a large double cabin forward and a large double cabin aft. AMEL particularity is that the yacht can be maneuvered from the cockpit from electric controls, thus diminishing crew members.
