High seas dream start in Cannes
For this 34th edition of the Festival de la Plaisance, 470 new boats expose their hulls to Old Port wavelets "floc-floc", presenting a preview of the most beautiful novelties of major international shipyards in a sumptuous setting. The quality and density of the Festival are illustrated on water, by mixed offer of motor boats and yachts from 10 to Westport's 50 meters and, on the ground, by the presence of many exhibitors dedicated to always more sophisticate services and boat equipment. The Espace Riviera is the Festival de la Plaisance de Cannes showcase that welcomes luxury yachting sector accessories in an upscale area, close to the Croisette. Exceptional brands are represented, specializing in luxury yachting and its environment such as prestige shipyards, OEMs and engine manufacturers, service companies, design and custom interior design for luxury yachting. Calm, comfort and discretion are favorable to meetings, networking in the VIP Lounge or discussing business. Since 2006, the Port Pierre Canto hosts on its pontoons best actors in used boat market. Yachts from 22 to 50 meters are presented by European and American brokers, thus complementing the offer of the Festival. An opportunity to discover a vast panorama of the most beautiful yachts in the world.

Koot 54: The first ‘Loft on The Sea’ in Cannes
Koot 54 is the first yacht built by the Tunisian Shipyard Koot Yachts International and it will be officially introduced at the 2011 Cannes Boat Show. “Loft on the Sea” is the philosophy which inspired the shipyard in the creation of this 16 meters open: vast livable areas in the outside and open spaces in the interior to achieve an unobstructed contact with the sea.

The first born of the Iguana Yachts range has been presented to the public in the Festival de la Plaisance. The model presented in Cannes just went out of the shipyard. The caterpillars that allows ground mobility function for the boat to go into and out of the water inserts into the sides of the boat and are cleared during navigation allowing the new open boat to reach outstanding performance (35 knots).

Cannes Yachts parade
The apotheosis of the Cannes Festival de la Plaisance was, as since ten years, the gala evening organized by Luxmedia Group on the Carlton Hotel beach on September 10. After the presentation of the World Yachts Trophies during the gala dinner, the most beautiful yachts in the Festival paraded a few cables’ length away from the Croisette in front of an amazed audience captivated by the magic of these floating jewels gliding on the sea. Like models, spotlight on them, they let themselves be admired, make a turn around on the water, and vanish off into the warm night to great applause. The Cannes Yachts Parade ended by splendid fireworks.
