Heavent Meetings 2014 in South of France Style

Heavent Meetings, the international trade show interlinking relationships in the business tourism and event markets took place on 26 & 27 March 2014 at Cannes Palais des Festivals.

The trade show dedicated to business agencies, venues and technical partners or services suppliers brought together 3, 000 visitors who came onto the Croisette to meet the exhibitors and discover their venues or services.
Heavent Meetings was hosting some 250 exhibitors in the business tourism, event locations, hotels, technical or service providers. Exhibitors in the event location area were showcasing reception venues, hotels, event destinations, fair, congress and exhibition centres. In the supplier area, the companies were proposing reception services, consulting & production, animation & artists, decoration, design layout, sound, light & video, structures, products. To complement the offer, event agencies, business travel agencies and incentive agencies were also present.

In 2014, Heavent Meetings enlarged its audience of international business and aimed at developing the Top Buyer Program in Europe by inviting 80 Top Buyers mainly coming from Germany, England, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Austria. 350 top French and European Decision Makers have connect during 6,000 pre-organized one-to-one business appointments and 600 lunches. Four upscale lectures have completed the program of this event.

Two outstanding networking evenings

The participants have been able to further deepen relationships at two festive evenings. The Opening Party let the participants discover the Centre Expo Congrès of Mandelieu La Napoule. The unique evening event was organized with Provence Côte d’Azur Events, D&X Events, V.O. Concept, Pavillon Traiteur and Groupe Novelty and showcased many show on the theme of the Four Elements. A fully-packed Bâoli hosted the closing night in a relaxed disco atmosphere.

Trophies of 2013 Event Personalities

In partnership with the Press Group Evénement(s), Heavent Meetings launched in 2014 the first edition of the Year’s Trophy of Event Personalities. The prize giving ceremony was held at the Palais des Festivals Grand Auditorium on March 27, 2014 before a large audience of 600. For the first time, women and men who have made the event news in 2013 in the event industry were highlighted as Personality of the Year.

Aktuel, 200% Conviviality at Heavent Meetings

Robbixa by ZigZag Production at Heavent Meetings

At Heavent Meetings 2014, ZigZag Production was introducing its robots for entertainment, events and shows with animatronic star Robbixa.

By their science fiction appearance, robots are fascinate the public; by their presence, they help make any event a spectacular and original show.
From decor of all size to model prototype (POP, dummy object, realization after the creation of designers or artists), ZigZag Production workshops, combining the work of wood, metal, resin, plastic, composite materials, etc. are involved from creating sculptures or models or only implementing them.

Alongside its activity of creation of decors, since its inception in 2005, ZigZag Production is developping a department specialized in mechanized sculptures whose research is directed towards robotics for automatic performances. The French company manufactures, rents automatic machines and programmable robots in the field of museology, audiovisual, entertainment and recreation.
Within the workshop, Michel Ploix, artistic director and visual artist, Jean-Paul Masip, automation engineer, and Laurent Mahy, special effects mechanic, are designing and building customizable and programmable robots.

The company has developed computer-controlled robots which, unlike conventional robots, are reprogrammable to infinity. Whether realistic or completely fanciful, the creators adapt them to their field of application: live or automatic show, audiovisual or museography.
With extensive experience in various fields of sculpture, synthetic materials, mechanics adapted to the event and automation, ZigZag Production creates animatronics, models, mock objects at all scales and decors items. Their creativity has earned them the prize of the jury for the caravan Ibis Budget Hotel at Tour de France 2012. One finds also their animatronics at Parc du Puy du Fou in the Imaginary World of La Fontaine, as well at the Musee Grevin.

The animatronic robot Robbixa presented at Heavent Meetings in Cannes, is controlled by computer, and expresses herself by the voice of actors.

The Destination Mougins Club at Heavent Meetings

At Heavent Meetings in Cannes, the stand of the Destination Mougins Club attracted many visitors curious to learn about Mougins, the gastronomic capital of the French Riviera, and its treasures.

The Destination Club Mougins, launched in 2013, was created by directors of Mougins prestige establishments who united their energy, creativity and networks to contribute to the development and the international reputation of the destination Mougins.
The snail-shaped Mougins village on top of a hill between Cannes and Grasse, is world-famous for its narrow, paved with ancient stones, picturesque alleys winds through the old stones of flowered facades. The village, immaculately kept, has preserved its authenticity and offers stunning views on both the Mediteraean and the “Pays de Grasse”.
As an association, the Destination Mougins Club – DM Club participates in various national and international exhibitions and has developed a common communication on the destination Mougins. Its participation at Heavent Meetings, the international trade show for MICE and events, is part of the strategy to let Mougins and its riches to be better known and deepen relationships with event creators looking for prestigious settings for their event. The Club also organizes events to promote the town of Mougins as a favorite international destination.

Born of a meeting between prestige hoteliers, the DM Club has communicated its dynamism to different sectors in Mougins such as golf, Art and SPA.
Honorary members consist of a President, Giuseppe Cosmai, CEO of the Mas Candille, a Vice-President and Secretary, Laurence Giordano, General Manager of the Mas du Grand Vallon and a treasurer, Vincent Lecuyer, General Director of the Moulin de Mougins. HTM Production Instant Photo

At Heavent Meetings, HTM Production presented its ludic concept of “instant photo”, an event in the event offering a friendly and playful animation.

HTM Production is an agency of event photographers meeting a demand going beyond the artistic, to best express the mood, the atmosphere of a fair, a seminar, a conference, a special event evening or launching of new product. The portraits of the guests as well as all the key moments of the event will be photographed giving a photo report reflecting the event.
The concept consists of instant photo prints whatever the animation; the picture is thus printed on site. This attraction is an event in your event and guests or partners leave with a ludic souvenir photo.

The Photocall is a fun and festive entertainment: guests are photographed before a background made in advance with the possibility of costumes, accessories, and the photo is then printed live during the event.
Photo inset: with a photomontage, guests are smiling at a magazine front page or are staring on a movie poster or walking the Red Carpet in Cannes. Another animation: the guests, under a bridge with a camera, give their imagination free rein.
The immediate Badge Photo is the ideal and fun communication support for your guests or staff. Their photo, taken at the event, is immediately transformed into a badge, with the possibility of adding a message, a date, a logo. This can be done for hundreds of guests who leave immediately with their gadget.
The Flip-book is a small book that gives the illusion of movement when quickly thumbed through. On the location of your event, your guests turn a video clip. Then, in less than a minute, the images are printed and cut to form a flip-book whose cover is customizable.

Heavent Meetings Awards 2014

Heavent Meetings in Cannes, the international trade show for MICE and events closed up on March 27 with the Events and Personalities Awards prize giving ceremony.

Heavent Meetings organizers had been right to see things on a large scale by choosing the Grand Auditorium of Cannes Palais des Festivals for the ceremony as the Events and Personalities Awards attracted a large audience. 350 top decisionmakers et 250 exhibitors and partners have discovered who were the year’s key persons in the event sector and what major events they created or participated in.

Heavent Meetings launched the first edition of the zear’s Event Personalities Trophies, rewarding women and men under the spotlights in 2013. All the applications were not sent by nominees themselves but were proposed to the Jury. The main criteria of selection was to distinguish a personality pointed out during a major event 2013 for dedication in design, management, implementation, installation… of an important and media event.
The winners selection in the seven categories of awards was made at 50% by the Awards jury vote and 50% of the vote of guests during the ceremony. The vote by the audience, in the presence of the nominees (5 by category), was preceded by videos showcasing their realisations.

International Heavent Meetings 2014 in Cannes

Heavent Meetings, the only trade show interlinking business relationships in the tourism and the event markets will take place on 26 & 27 March 2014 at Cannes Palais des Festivals.

The trade show dedicated to business agencies, venues and technical partners or services suppliers will bring together 3, 000 visitors who will come and meet som 250 exposants.
350 top French and European policymakers will connect during 6,000 pre-organized one-to-one business appointments and 600 lunches. The participants will be able to further deepen relationships at two networking evenings. Six upscale plenary lectures will complete the program of this event.

Trophies of 2013 Event Personalities

Heavent Meetings launches in 2014 the first edition of the Trophy of Event Personalities of the Year to be held at the Palais des Festivals on March 27, 2014. They wil reward the women and men who have made the event news in 2013. For the first time, women and men of the event industry will be highlighted as Personality of the Year in the following 8 categories : director/event manager in a company – director/purchasing manager for corporate events – event agency – organizers (trade shows, congresses, fairs…) – designer/director /scenographer – venue (convention center – hotel, exhibition center…) – technical supplier (audiovisual, decoration, booth structure, energy…) – service provider (catering, floral decoration, tableware, entertainment, rental furniture, new technologies…).

Any company, institution, association, media may present a personality capable of entering into one of eight categories mentioned above. Applications will be judged on the following design criteria: management, design, production, installation, hosting, and major media events.
The selection of winners will be done at 50% by the Awards jury vote and 50% by a vote of guests (more than 600 people, including 350 top decision makers and 250 exhibitors on Heavent Meetings). The award ceremony will be held on March 27 at the Palais des Festivals Grand Auditorium.

Heavent Meetings will also reward last year’s most outstanding events with the Event Awards.
