64th Festival de Cannes
Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris is to open the 64th Festival de Cannes at the same time as it opens in theaters all over France on May 11th 2011. French audiences will thus be able to enjoy it in 400 theaters throughout the country and discover France's First Lady, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, playing the tour guide in the gardens of the Rodin Museum, at the very beginning of the movie
The Day of Europe

Blue Flag Label of quality for Cannes beaches
The City of Cannes has just received the "Blue Flag" label granted to 15 selected beaches along the coast for their exemplary environmental quality, and for Port Canto as well. This label, allocated according to strict criteria on the general environment, is singling out 11 beaches more compared to last year and rewards the Cannes municipality holistic, comprehensive and lasting approach in terms of environmental public policy.
Obtaining this label refers primarily to a true "green process" fully established by the City of Cannes and well beyond the strict issue of water quality.
The obtained distinction is the result of a proactive public policy: managing drinking water, incentives to save water for beach showers, waste management, environmental education, sorting introduced this year for the kiosks and on the beaches, wastewater treatment with the imminent delivery of the treatment plant. Very operational means have been mobilized: weekly monitoring of bathing beaches on the 15 labeled, weekly random controls on the duration of the season, publicly display control tests in several languages.
A commitment of reliability, information and clarity for the general public and families prevents whenever rainfall events or micro pollution require Cannes to suspend occasionally access to a beach.

Mix’Arts at 3.14 Hotel
Mix'Arts was the evening of preview of the exhibition of works by Yann Couedor, around which other arts came to mix: music by DJ Bob Assolen and songs by Teron Beal and Sly Johnson, and fashion show by Meghane Monatus. The soirée ended by a party.
