G20: The story continues to be written in Cannes


With the huge technical, logistical and security success of last November 3 and 4 G20 summit, the town of Cannes has created a website to perpetuate the largest ever summit held in France, which established the unprecedented media sensation of the City of Cannes and enhanced its credibility in hosting major international events. Having brought about the success of the City of Cannes application, David Lisnard, first Deputy and Chairman of the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, presented on Sunday, December 4 at the Marché Forville UMP office, the website dedicated to the commemoration of the G20. The site features videos, hundreds of photos of the delegations and heads of state, the popular reception of delegations, the joint ceremony of President Barack Obama and President Nicolas Sarkozy at the Cannes Town Hall, whose speeches and interviews can be found on the site blog. Many pictures are devoted to Cannes people, who, as privileged spectators could rub shoulders with heads of state of the largest countries and will have great pleasure to relive those unforgettable moments.

Call for sponsoring at La Castre Museum


The Deputy Mayor of Cannes M. Bernard Brochand and the Deputy to the culture invited the public to an event on Saturday, December 10th at 11 a.m. at the La Castre Museum  in Cannes. The ceremony was about the call to the sponsorship, in partnership with the Heritage Foundation,for the restoration of an exceptional collection of Qajar art, unique in the West, and for the renovation of the La Castre Museum and its expansion.

Unusual looks at Cannes - Awards Ceremony of "Cannes En Scène 2011"


The winners of Cannes photo contest, organized for the first year, in partnership with tourism professionals in Cannes, on the theme "Unusual Cannes" were rewarded on December 16th at the Palais des Festivals of Cannes. Kijno hops from one subject to another without severing the thread


The Malmaison exhibitions, representing sixty years of creation, showcases an extremely prolific artists who, as said in french «hops from cock to donkey» (hops from one subject to another), but without ever severing the thread of his creativity. Launch of the Pays de Grasse scented Agenda


On 22 December, at the International Perfume Museum in Grasse, in the presence of Jean Pierre Leuleu, Senator Mayor of Grasse, of many elected officials and entrepreneurs of the Grasse region and for the fourth consecutive year, the company ACT - Azur Communication Tourism, introduced the new 2012 scented agenda of the Pays de Grasse. This year, the pages of this new edition are balmy with the scent of  an emblematic flower, the violet.
