The Full Papal Experience by Inrome Cooking Classes will take you to an exclusive experience inside the City of Vatican: an escorted visit through the Sistine Chapel, the St.Peter’s Basilica, Pand the Pope’s Villas and Gardens followed by a Pasta and Dessert making class. To wind down this exceptional day, you will have time to shop in the local town or perhaps take table at the cafe in the piazza facing the Palace and enjoy a final gelato before returning back in Rome.

Explore three unmissable masterpieces

For the first time ever, the Full Papal Experience gives you the chance to explore three unmissable masterpieces in one day: the Sistine Chapel with super VIP early access, St. Peter’s Basilica and the summer Papal estate in the charming hilltop town of Castel Gandolfo.
The exceptional day begins at the Vatican Museums at 7:30. As part of this tour, you are granted with super early access to the Sistine Chapel, literally before anyone else, and Saint Peter’s Basilica, allowing you to admire in peace Michelangelo‘s magnificent art of like La Pietà, or the Bernin‘s Baldachin, with the inspiring knowledge of your local guide.

A trip to the Pope’s villas in Castel Gandolfo

Then, InRrome Cooking will transport you to the Roman countryside and the Alban Hills, specifically the picturesque town of Castel Gandolfo, (summer and holiday Palace for the Pope) with its spectacular views of the volcanic lake of Albano. Apart from being stunningly charismatic, this town is historically significant, being where Roman Emperor Domitian built his summer palace and subsequently where the Papal State decided to purchase a Palace for the Pope’s official summer residence.

Cooking class in the Pope’s farm

With an audio guide, you will be escorted to explore the residence, including the Papal apartments and the celebrated Barberini Gardens, one of the finest examples of landscaped sculpted gardens in Italy. A golf cart or minivan has been arranged for you to get around the estate, and bring you to the tasting part of the day, a cooking class by InRrome Cooking chefs in the Pope’s farm.

Hand-made fresh pasta and dessert

The Fattoria delle Ville Pontificie covers 55 hectares and features stables, henhouses, orchards, gardens, citrus groves, a vineyard, spices garden, an olive grove and a dairy. At our cooking school on the estate, our Chef will welcome you with prosecco and tastings from the farm. Fresh pasta and dessert are on the menu of the hands-on class, and the Chef is specialised in teaching you how to master both from scratch. Lunch will be served with the food you have prepared and local wines.
