The 6th edition of Chefs au Sommet d’Auron celebrated high gastronomy in the snow of the Mercantour mountains with prestigious culinary partners.
Chefs au Sommet d’Auron, from January 14 to 20, 2017, kept their promise of summits of tastes, mountains of flavors, peaks of gustative emotions and exciting culinary sensations in the heart of the Mercantour emblematic ski resort. Talented chefs and pastry chefs from the Côte d’Azur have shared memorable moments of genuine gastronomic delights in a friendly atmosphere with tourists and residents of Haute Tinée.
For the success of its sixth edition, the Festival de la Gastronomie de Montagne has partnered with Les Etoiles de Mougins, the International Festival of Gastronomy, but has also benefited from the partnership of prestigious culinary partners.
Sharing culinary pleasures
Decorated with the sumptuous summits of the Mercantour, Les Chefs au Sommet d’Auron have been celebrating Haute Gastronomie for six years through events sharing culinary delights. Under the patronage of the famous chef Jacques Maximin, Meilleur Ouvrier de France, Les Chefs au Sommet d’Auron proposed during five days an amateur cooking contest on the theme “La Cuisine Stéphanoise Revisited”, culinary demonstrations, playful workshops and gourmands 5 to 7 around the ice rink, accompanied by delicious demonstrations of pastry organized by the Union of Artisans Pâtissiers Chocolatiers of Alpes-Maritimes.
All these events are carried out with the indispensable help of partners.
Gastronomes spoiled every night
Every evening, the restaurants in Auron, Saint Dalmas-le-Selvage and Saint-Étienne de Tinée have welcomed in their kitchens famous chefs and pastry chefs from the region who have prepared sumptuous gourmet dinners at the unqiue – and privileged – price of 45 euros per person. These exceptional dinners are enjoyed by the fireplace, in the relaxed and warm atmosphere of the dining rooms decorated with the woodwork of the mountain restaurants.
These high altitude dinners are also made with the help of valuable culinary partners!
