Cordier Mestrezat Grands Crus was presenting its ultimate gem at TFWA WE 2014 in Cannes: a golden case containing four Château d’Yquem 1893 and… a gold bar.
At TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes, the famous trading house in Bordeaux Cordier Mestrezat Grands Crus is used to showcase some of the most famous and rare Grands Crus Classés estates of Bordeaux and the finest Cognac. Along these oenological gems, Cordier Mestrezat was presenting its collection of prestigious “Made In Bordeaux” handcrafted 4-bottle cases featuring the incredible “Cordier Golden4Box 1893, L’Unique”.
A prowess of craftsmanship
The masterpiece is decorated with 24-carat gold leaf according to the traditional methods used in the times, a genuine feat of Made-in-Bordeaux craftsmanship, manufactured by Bordeaux-based creator Véronique Debord.
Cordier Mestrezat Grands Crus invented this unique packaging, created by the artist, to house the greatest of all Sauternes wines, Château d’Yquem, 1st Grand Cru Classé Supérieur.
Through the tailor-made cases, the trading house aims at magnifying the excellence of the very best Bordeaux wines and Bordelais craftsmanship.
Golden setting for liquid gold

An outstanding marvel of luxury, the «Cordier Golden4Box 1893, L’Unique» offers the ultimate, perfect setting for four exceptional bottles of one of Château d’Yquem’s greatest ever, extremely rare and… unique vintages, 1893. The masterpiece achievement takes three weeks of a step-by-step meticulous process.
To echo the golden color of the case and unite with the liquid gold of Yquem, a genuine a 1-kg bar of solid gold, engraved “1893 L’unique”, sits along the rare gems from the grape.
There will only be one example of «Cordier Golden4Box 1893, L’Unique» in the world, hence its name.
The «Cordier4Box” is a personalized emotional experience offering a bespoke voyage through the greatest wines of Bordeaux.
