Kitchen opening onto the dining room

After having held the kitchens of numerous and prestigious restaurants of the Mediterranean Riviera, such as La Palme d’Or at the Martinez Hotel with Christian Wiler, Franck Cicognola settled down in the old town of Mouans-Sartoux where 2015 saw the birth of his new baby called Mon Petit Resto. After some rehabilitation work, the establishment is now warm and intimate. The elegance of the tables dressed with pretty tablecloths of unbleached linen, with beautiful white towels signed Mon Petit Resto, the kitchen opening onto the room and the bar, its ambient lighting, its white walls, its frames in wood, contribute to a fresh and authentic atmosphere. In the middle of the room, the dresser and its rows of plates in slate and white porcelain will make your mouth water.
The smile and the kindness of the mistress of the place, Véronique, will welcome you warmly before discovering the gastronomy of Mon Petit Resto.

Fresh products from the terroir

Franck Cicognola practices a mastered and tasty cuisine. In order to give every day the best of his culinary creations to his customers, the chef realizes live recipes with the flavors of his native region. After his inspiration, his beautiful plates feature fresh produce bought in the morning on local markets, or delivered by producers from the region. Fruits and vegetables come directly from the Mouans-Sartoux market a few steps away from the restaurant or from Philippe Auda at Roquebrune sur Argens, like the small flowers in the colors of Provence that adorn Franck’s superb plates.
Stéphane Saluzzo, his friend and owner of the nearby bakery L’Epi d’Or, provides him with his delicious Tradition Label Rouge bread. The meat comes directly from the Boucherie Mouansoise and the Maison Prestige Gourmet, the products of the sea from the Pêcherie Azuréenne, and the honey from Jean-Louis Liautard in Le Tignet.

Rigor, requirement and elegance

Simplicity of the ingredients, perfect cooking, bright colors of the South, the little floral touch and the cherry tomato confit testify of the love of the product to express all its authentic flavors. The vegetables are cooked separately to keep the perfumes, and sprinkled with a drizzle of olive oil and fleur de sel. The dishes proposed “à l’ardoise” are prepared by the minute, and nicely arranged, become real masterpieces. The dressing of the plates unites three precepts of high gastronomy: rigor, requirement and elegance.
With the desserts, you will be delighted by Franck Cicognola’s talents and his sweet “de cuisinier” delicacies with subtle and fresh flavors, artistic and colorful presentation. In the end, with the coffee, you will have the divine pleasure of tasting the unique Madeleine Cicognola, mellow and crisp, with the scent of artisanal honey.
