Opposite Mouans-Sartoux Castle, Mon Petit Resto deserves its name with its fourteen places in the dining room, as much upstairs and thirty outside in summer. In this small setting, the chef Franck Cicognola and his wife Véronique take an approach of quality rather than quantity. This beautiful gastronomic address is delighting the gourmets with its mastered and tasty cuisine, prepared by a chef trained with the greatest. Thanks to recipes based on the terroir market, Mon Petit Resto is now one of the best and most delicious table in the Mouansois terroir.
Facing the beautiful wooded park of the Castle
Mon Petit Resto enjoys a strategic location in Mouans-Sartoux, at the crossroads of three cities of international renown: Cannes, Capital of Cinema, Mougins, Capital of Gastronomy and Grasse, Capital of Perfumes. The establishment is also privileged to deploy its magnificent terrace in the shade of plane trees, facing the beautiful wooded park of the fifteenth century Castle from. The Castle has the particularity of housing the Museum of Concrete Art which has attracted since its creation in 2004 many lovers of modern art. Every year the Honey Festival is perfuming the small, flowered cobblestone streets of the old town and, for the celebration of our friends with wings, Franck Cicognola in person is treating the fans of sweet and salty cuisine with his delicious and original recipes.
Kitchen opening onto the dining room
After having held the kitchens of numerous and prestigious restaurants of the Mediterranean Riviera, such as La Palme d’Or at the Martinez Hotel with Christian Wiler, Franck Cicognola settled down in the old town of Mouans-Sartoux where 2015 saw the birth of his new baby called Mon Petit Resto. After some rehabilitation work, the establishment is now warm and intimate. The elegance of the tables dressed with pretty tablecloths of unbleached linen, with beautiful white towels signed Mon Petit Resto, the kitchen opening onto the room and the bar, its ambient lighting, its white walls, its frames in wood, contribute to a fresh and authentic atmosphere. In the middle of the room, the dresser and its rows of plates in slate and white porcelain will make your mouth water.
The smile and the kindness of the mistress of the place, Véronique, will welcome you warmly before discovering the gastronomy of Mon Petit Resto.
Fresh products from the terroir
Franck Cicognola practices a mastered and tasty cuisine. In order to give every day the best of his culinary creations to his customers, the chef realizes live recipes with the flavors of his native region. After his inspiration, his beautiful plates feature fresh produce bought in the morning on local markets, or delivered by producers from the region. Fruits and vegetables come directly from the Mouans-Sartoux market a few steps away from the restaurant or from Philippe Auda at Roquebrune sur Argens, like the small flowers in the colors of Provence that adorn Franck’s superb plates.
Stéphane Saluzzo, his friend and owner of the nearby bakery L’Epi d’Or, provides him with his delicious Tradition Label Rouge bread. The meat comes directly from the Boucherie Mouansoise and the Maison Prestige Gourmet, the products of the sea from the Pêcherie Azuréenne, and the honey from Jean-Louis Liautard in Le Tignet.
Rigor, requirement and elegance
Simplicity of the ingredients, perfect cooking, bright colors of the South, the little floral touch and the cherry tomato confit testify of the love of the product to express all its authentic flavors. The vegetables are cooked separately to keep the perfumes, and sprinkled with a drizzle of olive oil and fleur de sel. The dishes proposed “à l’ardoise” are prepared by the minute, and nicely arranged, become real masterpieces. The dressing of the plates unites three precepts of high gastronomy: rigor, requirement and elegance.
With the desserts, you will be delighted by Franck Cicognola’s talents and his sweet “de cuisinier” delicacies with subtle and fresh flavors, artistic and colorful presentation. In the end, with the coffee, you will have the divine pleasure of tasting the unique Madeleine Cicognola, mellow and crisp, with the scent of artisanal honey.

A sophisticated, convivial and creative table
Mon Petit Resto is a very nice table as we like them, both sophisticated, friendly and creative, to test in a gourmande priority. At lunch, Franck Cicognola offers a unique menu at 32 euros that changes every day, depending on the market and the chef’s inspiration. This menu comes in three formulas: starter + dessert at 22 euros, main course + dessert or starter + main course at 24 euros or full menu at 32 euros.
For dinner, gourmets have a choice between four menus: the menu Discovery and Pleasure at 45 euros, the Menu Gourmand at 57 €, the menu Food & Wine Pairing at 84 € and the menu Promenade au Gré des Saveurs at 89 €.
Hot Foie Gras on a Small Bed of Fennel and Muscat Emulsion: the creaminess of the foie gras goes perfectly with the fondant fennel confit, drenched with the Mediterranean sun, which awakens the taste buds to start the meal. The Mendiant Bread lace is a crispy delight!
Poultry Tubo in Fine Stuffing, Zucchini Strips and Celery Purée with Noisette Butter: the soft and creamy poultry comes to the palate in its zucchini dress, subtly enhanced by a light vinaigrette, peppered with a touch of Tomato Pitacou and brightened with the invigorating bitterness of a roquette salad.
French Veal Mignon with Cooking Juices, roasted Cucurbitaceae with the perfumes of Provence: the veal with an appetizing rosé melts in the mouth with its juices, accompanied by vegetables from the market and young carrots and turnip, squash, butternut and spaghetti squash… a farandole of vitamin flavors.
Variations on “Kent” Mango, Fresh, Confit, Siphoned, Black Chocolate Shell: a range of exotic flavors with the mango in all its forms, fresh, confit and “from the siphon”, nestled in a dark chocolate shell from the House Valrhona; the freshness of the cocoa sorbet comes in counterpoint to the acidity of the mango to conquer the gourmands’ palate.
