Havas Cafe celebrated ten years of welcome and networking in the heart of La Croisette for the participants of Cannes Lions, the International Festival of Creativity.
Havas Cafe since 10 years is the meeting place of creativity in the middle of La Croisette. Its luxurious and airy space, in the red colors of Havas, welcomes the participants of the Cannes Lions in the lush gardens of the Grand Hotel for a moment of relaxation and refreshments.
The haven of peace is a real institution for advertising people, because of its location and its events: Jamie Cullum‘s showcase, press conference by Yannick Bolloré, seminars, newsroom, cocktails, European Cup of Football… To celebrate the tenth birthday, Havas Media also proposed to stay connected on a couch, playing e-table-football or e-driving with the new Citroën Mehari.
A space of conviviality and relaxation
Cannes Lions, the International Festival of Creativity, took place from June 18 to 25, 2016 and was a huge success on La Croisette. But between the results of the competition, the seminars at the Palais des Festivals, the breakfasts and lunches, meetings, creative life is busy! The world’s biggest event of creativity has its haven at Havas Cafe, before the days to stretch to the end of the night with cocktails and parties on luxury yachts, beaches or dream villas.
Composed of trellis, decorated with crude wood, white sofas and giant colorful cushions, Havas Cafe’s bar provides coffee and delicious refreshment throughout the day. The partners Lacoste, Citroën, Roche Bobois, Pernod Ricard, Decathlon and Evian participated in the success of this convivial space of relaxation and networking.
Marty, Havas’ connected sofa
For the 10th anniversary of Havas Cafe, Yannick Bolloré, CEO of Havas and Raphaël de Andréis, CEO of Havas Media Group France, presented Marty, the connected couch, the first prototype made by Havas teams.
Marty, the sofa of the future, is responding to a finding: 80% of media interactions take place on a sofa! A hundred managers from Havas Media Group, gathered at a seminar at Usine IO (hardware prototyping workshop) in September 2015, devised a friendly, connected, interactive, sofa, part of the User eXperience and “data minded”. Loève Saint-Ourens, designer of the connected furniture Plug & Dream, is accompanying the project and designed the sofa.
This nerve center of media use enables to watch a video, relax while listening to music, work, communicate, print an 3D object and even have a cold drink… All interactions are controlled by an application created for the occasion.
Staying connected on all occasions
If Havas Cafe offered the broadcasts of the matches of the European Cup on a big screen, a e-table-football, table-football game connected to a dedicated social network, was opening new relationships between the players, companies and brands. Havas had invited no less than two table-football vice-world champions, Audrey Marty (nothing to do with the sofa) and Sian Khamalu to make the demonstrations.
This new playful media of communication, in which the digital joined the real, enables a new experience of sharing your performances and create teams in companies.
Other connected “object”, the e-Mehari by Citroën, created in cooperation with the Bolloré Group. Like its predecessor, the hull of the little sister is made of plastic, but a new generation plastic, UV resistant. The new darling of second home owners is fully electric, speeding up to 110 km/h for 100 to 200 km. Of course, the e-Mehari, available at the Havas Cafe with driver, is fully connected.
For more sports transportation Havas Cafe made bicycles available.
For the 10th anniversary, Havas Media offered T-shirts “Just a Kid From Havas”, to rediscover the creativity of childhood the time of the Festival.
