Canados choose the international stage of the Croisette at Cannes International Boat Show 2013 for the international debut of the new Canados 108, that is to join the flybridge range between the successful 86 and the 120 launched last year. Just launched by August 2013, the yacht debut earned her prestigious awards in Cannes.
The new 33-m yacht pursues the Canados history and tradition: performance, reliability, attention to details and technologies and high level of customisation. Her exterior and naval architecture are realized by the Canados Design Team whose design and development departments creative efforts have been awarded by two awards, Best Innovation and Best Design, at this year’s World Yachts Trophies competition, providing Canados 108 a promising future. Best Design award was given for the yacht’s sleek lines and beautifully balanced forms of the three decks with the flybridge hardtop fitting in with the line of force of the three windshields, refined by the termination of the fly deck.
Canados 108 offers innovative outdoor living areas, large windows to take full advantage of the natural light and sweep away the boundaries between inside and outside. For the first time, a Canados yacht features large side windows in the hull on the main deck which allow more light for the dining and the owner’s suite, and also two sofas by the large sunbathing area. The main deck offers 2 terraces at the front overlooking the sea, very convenient both in navigation and at anchor. In the dining room, bay windows go from floor to ceiling allowing to enjoy breathtaking views of the sea. Life rafts are hidden in chests, decked with oversized sunbathing mattresses. The fly is completely dedicated to open-air life with sunbathing area, seating area and dining area. These elements decided the jury to award Canados 108 the Best Innovation trophy.
The owner’s suite is on the main deck, enjoying a magnific panoramic view, and three cabins below deck can accomodate six guests on the lower deck with a VIP, a double easily converted into a twin if required, and a twin. The fully custom interiors, signed Cristiano Gatto Design, feature oak, teak, bamboo and leather to create a natural-toned decor and a relaxing, harmonious atmosphere, combining soft colors and a subtle interplay of light and shade.
The equipment on board includes a cutting-edge home automation system allowing the management of different functions such as exterior and interior lights regulation, audio and video, air conditioning, handling of the tents on the main deck, control with cameras in engine room and the cabin of the children, call the crew cabins with tablet.
