A somptuous 10th anniversary of Gala L’Epicurien celebrated gastronomy at Radisson Blu 1835 Hotel & Thalasso in Cannes on September 1st, 2014.
L’Epicurien magazine of Art de Vivre celebrated the 10th birthday of its Gala L’Epicurien in Cannes, at the Radisson Blu Hotel. The Gala, a true gastronomy festival, treated guests with Haute Cuisine by major chef of the region and a display of key terroir producers and reknown wine and Champagne houses.
Haute Gastronomie
A celebration of haute cuisine, the Summer Gala l’Epicurien brought together all the players in the Epicurean lifestyle: great chefs, wineries, Champagnes, producers, manufacturers and distributors of equipment and home appliances, as well as artists and creators of ambiance. All day long, the gala show L’Epicurien in the ground floor salons of the Radisson Blu Hotel allowed producers, winemakers and Champagne houses to present to many visitors the jewels of the ‘made in France’ terroir and unveil their best-sellers and novelties.
Prestigious chefs
After the welcoming cocktail, the Gala L’Epicurien offer a showcooking on the 400 m2 panoramic terrace with the greatest chefs in the region.
A lineup of starred chefs including Reynald Thivet, executive chef of Le 360°, Patrick Raingeard, Jacques Chibois, Philippe Joannès, Joël Garault, Ronan Kervarrec, Arnaud Tabarec, Nicolas Navarro, Xavier Mathieu, Didier Anies, Mathias Dandine, Marcel Ravin, Philippe Colinet, Yoric Tièche…
For dessert, some of the best pastry chefs in the region including Jean-Luc Pelé, Christian Cottard, Philippe Brito, Alain Llorca, Bruno Laffargue, Nicolas Denis and many others offered the best of their creation and their expertise to top off this starry evening.
The Trophies L’Epicurien
During the gala evening, Epicurien trophies awarded the excellence of outstanding work during the year. The prizes were presented to the winners by Christophe Gorgeret, director of l’Epicurien Concept.

Hotel Director Epicurien of the Year:Thierry Naidu director of Le Château de la Chèvre d’Or in Eze in Eze, and manager of many others.

Gastronomy meets Arts
For this epicurean to be a complete success, painters and sculptors were showcasing their works in a musical atmosphere. During the evening, painter José Curti realised one painting live abstracly evoking sailsboats in the bay of Cannes. Then, a dish by famous starred chef Jacques Chibois from La Bastide St Antoine in Grasse inspired the live creation of an abstract painting by painter Onen, Gourmet of Art.
Both painter then realised a live painting featuring a heart that was offered to win at the raffle in the end.
