Monaco hosts the first Salon du Chocolat from October 10 to 12, 2014 at Espace Fonvielle, showcasing major French Riviera Maîtres Chocolatiers creations.
The pure gourmand event highlights the Maîtres Chocolatiers and Pastry Chefs of the nicest establishments in the French Riviera.
Created in Paris 20 years ago, the Salon du Chocolat is the largest event dedicated to chocolate. A link between cacao producers and consumers, the fair presents the creations and the know-how of Maîtres Chocolatiers.

All the chocolate lovers will be able to satisfy their desire for “gourmandise” at Salon du Chocolat de Monaco by going through the aisles of the exhibition hall and displays of chocolates of all kinds, in all its forms: pure, liquid, enhanced and transformed. A dream world of chocolate discoveries, a paradise of sensations and tasting pleasure for the taste buds and the eyes.
The Institut Gastronomie Riviera is offering pastry courses at workshops to discover the know-how of renowned Maîtres Chocolatiers and benefit from their experience.
A conference by Victore Finaz on Friday and Saturday will recount the course of the chocolate from the plantation to the manufacturing. A tasting of five sorts of chocolate will take participants in a trip around the world: São Tomé, Tanzania, Madagascar, Papua New Guinea and Venezuela.
During the three days of Salon du Chocolat de Monaco, visitors can attend various workshops, demonstrations and desserts tasting with the greatest chefs of restaurants in the area.
Also to be visited: workshops and chocolate pastry demonstration for children, a sensory area with toques and diplomas. Lectures, musical shows, exhibition of chocolate works were also part of the event.
The Chocoland area welcomes the children for playful activities, with toque and apron under the supervision of a team. In an all-chocolate world, they can create very personal works, before eating them. From 10 H to 13 H and 14 H to 19H.
Opera Chocolate Fashion show
On the theme of the Opera, the public of Salon du Chocolat de Monaco can discover dream creations designed by duos of chocolatiers/designers from the region.
Pascal Picasse in collaboration of Cyril Natta, Le Café de Paris, presents a stunning chocolate creation born by a model striding on stilts. Design students of the Lycée des Côteaux with Philippe Brito created a chocolate butterfly dress. To the sound of the most beautifil Opera arias, the public can admire some more duos creations with Steve Morachini, from the Belles Rives Hotel and Alexandra Laigle, Christian Cottard and Fresh Cancan, Laurent Favre Mot and Michel Bonzi, Julien Beaulieu and Guillaume Langlois.
The models’ beauty is enlightend by hairdresser Eros Giuliani and MUA Catherine Tordella.
