The celebration of the 10th anniversary of Gala L’Epicurien will take place at Radisson Blu 1835 Hotel & Thalasso in Cannes on September 1st, 2014.
The magazine of Art de Vivre will celebrate on September 1st the 10th birthday of its Gala L’Epicurien at the foot of Le Suquet in the capital of cinema, at the Radisson Blu Hotel. In the exceptional setting of the panoramic restaurant, Le 360°, a gastronomic lunch of presentation had guests savor the creative cuisine with Mediterranean flavors by Chef Reynald Thivet. Here’s a “mise en bouche” of the festivities that are sure to delight guests.
A celebration of haute cuisine
The Summer Gala l’Epicurien is a celebration of haute cuisine. It brings together all the players in the Epicurean lifestyle: great chefs, wineries, champagne, artisans, producers, manufacturers and distributors of equipment and home appliances, as well as artists and creators of ambiance. This event allows producers, winemakers and champagne houses to present the jewels of the ‘made in France’ terroir and enjoy the opportunity to unveil their best-sellers and novelties.
A cast of prestigious chefs
After a welcome cocktail, the Gala L’Epicurien will offer a showcooking on the 400 m2 panoramic terrace with the greatest chefs in the region.
The gourmet and wine tasting by partners of L’Epicurien will gather a lineup of starred chefs including Patrick Raingeard, Jacques Chibois, Philippe Joannès, Joël Garault, Ronan Kervarrec, Arnaud Tabarec, Nicolas Navarro, Xavier Mathieu, Didier Anies, Mathias Dandine, Marcel Ravin, Philippe Colinet, Yoric Tièche…
And of course Reynald Thivet. Native of Franche-Comté, the executive chef of Le 360° has quickly become established in the exclusive world of haute cuisine in the French Riviera with his talent and inventiveness.
During the evening, many new launches and exclusives are to be unveiled by Nespresso, Diploma Gin, Caviar Neuvic, Lanson, and many others.
A sweet evening
For dessert, the 10 best pastry chefs in the region will be next to sweetly titillate the taste buds. Jean-Luc Pelé, Christian Cottard, Philippe Brito, Alain Llorca, Bruno Laffargue, Nicolas Denis and many others will offer the best of their creation and their expertise and will top off this starry evening.
Artistic night
For this epicurean evening to be a complete success, painters and sculptors will showcase their works to the guests in a musical atmosphere.

The guide L’Epicurien is an original and innovative guide, offering the best choices in lifestyle. The concentration of synthesized information in 432 pages shares experiences and enthusiastic testimonials.
It helps to deepen the knowledge of the French culinary heritage, through fine products from the terroirs. An important place is reserved for chefs who best embody the gastronomic expertise in their area, as well as a multitude of gourmande boutiques, charming hotels and specialties and artisans.

About the Radisson Blu 1835 Hotel & Thalasso

To present the Gala, the gastronomic lunch revealed the following dishes, accompanied by Champagne Lanson “Extra Age”, Chateau Rasque and Pigoudet wines and the famous Ice cider “La Neige” from Canada.

Roasted Saddle of lamb with “fleur de thym”, marmalade and stuffed zucchini flower, jus à la Pitchouline (olives from Nice)
Shell of Dark Chocolate, light vanilla cream with seasonal fruits
Champagne Lanson « Extra Age » Blanc de Blancs
On this delicious lunch, guests were able to enjoy the vintage Extra Age Blanc de Blancs by Champagne Lanson. This assembly is part of a trilogy whose first Extra Age Brut cuvée was launched to mark the 250th anniversary of the Lanson house in 2010. It is an assembly of exceptional 2003, 2004, 2005 years, bringing together the best wines of Champagne.
Traditional vinification without malolactic fermentation requires a higher aging to bring wines to full maturity (extra-aging: minimum 5 years in Lanson’s cellars).
