A choice selection

The Ethiopian star Yared Sharew, credited with an excellent time of 2h08’10”, who finished second on the last Seville Marathon in 2h12’35” will be one of the favorites. Kenyan William Biama whose best stands at 2h09’53’ and finished second in the Marathon Nice-Cannes last year, should be a match for Sharew, as well as the Ethiopian Abdisa Sori, who has a personal best of 2h10’15”.
On the women’s side, the battle for the podium should be played between the Kenyan Salina Jebet, holding a personal best of 2h23’22 ‘and the Ethiopian Te’ Soul Shumye, winner of the 2011 edition, who boasts a personal best of 2h30’53”. The record to beat is that of 2 hours, 30 minutes and 37 seconds, set by Radiya Roba (KEN) in 2010, that still stands.
