From April 18-21, 2014, the famous brand with the star Mercedes-Benz celebrated luxury, fashion and design at the Mercedes-Benz Pop Up store in Cannes for a double car launch.
The luxury German brand had chosen the Port of Cannes on the Croisette, best known for its Cannes Film Festival, glamour and international stars, to invite the many fans of the brand to celebrate the launch of two new babies, the new C-Class Berline and the new GLA SUV Compact. To this end, Mercedes-Benz has pioneered with a new concept, unique on the French Riviera, the “Mercedes-Benz Pop-up store”, an ephemeral space dedicated to creation, fashion, glamor and automobile performance.
During the gala evening, the new car range was presented by the French Riviera Mercedes-Benz CEO, Mr. Christophe Thomann, surrounded by his team. Mercedes today offers a range of super homogeneous car from class A to class S, allowing to reach a wide range of customers.
Created to elicit emotion and dreams
The fans could discover the new C-Class: great art for this sedan with a sporty and great quality of definition, combining luxury and high technology. The other car launched was the new GLA, a compact and refined crossover both dedicated to the most passionate of the star. The class C, with its luxurious interior, its technological advances, is a city car in addition to being a tourer. Its sporty and sleek line are reflecting the image of a well-off person. The GLA and the C-Class were created to elicit emotion and dreams. Fleeing in the heart of the city to escape everyday life, a slogan that keeps its promise…
During the evening presentation of the Mercedes car line, we admired the lines of car bodies but also visited the inside and tried the cozy seats of these small wonders of luxury and technology.
Glamorous fashion shows
The Mercedes-Benz Pop Up Store was peppered with beautiful fashion show by designers La Rena from Bratislava, Sandra Maurel, Belotti Couture and russian Daria Stravinsky. Mougins-based stylist, Sandra Maurel is a specializing in creation of wedding dresses and evening dresses. All her creation are hand-sown one-of-a-kind pieces. Working in Cannes and Paris, Sandrine Belotti pour la marque Belotti Couture is a styliste and fashion designer specializing in creation of wedding dresses and cocktails and evening dresses but as well in dancing outfits. All her models are tailored one-of-a-kind pieces.
The models were set by the stars hairdresser Eros Giuliani and the makeup was signed BeUp cosmetic.
Works of Art by renowned artists
Sgara, a painter, sculptor and visuel artist offers a creative alchemy of works inspired by Pop Art and Street Art. Chris Tiboise is a visuel artist renowned for design seats trimmed in barrels of oil and his oversized drinking straws. Rémi Aillaud, more known as “the hand of steel” makes furniture both in tune with the times and original, to stand out from what usually surrounds us. It is also known for its cyber works, his Moto Robots inspired by blockbuster “Transformers.” Both modern and contemporary, Thierry Trivès’ sculptures are viewed as part of Pop Actuel movement.
The evening of the opening day of April 18 was dedicated to women with a fashion show, a nail and make up bar by BeUp Cosmetics.
