Davidoff unveiled at TFWA-WE 2017 its Davidoff Travel Humidor, an innovative travel cigar humidor with constant humidity for long journeys.

Davidoff partnered with the famous Italian designer Marcello Bottino to create the revolutionnary Davidoff Travel Humidor. Catching a plane, crossing the oceans, climbing a mountain, great cigar aficionados can now take their precious cigars wherever their travels take them and savor them at the perfect degree of humidity. The Travel Humidor was presented in Cannes at the TFWA-WE 2017 along the Winston Churchill – The Late Hour cigar.

A humidor designed to discover the world

Davidoff and Marcello Bottino have created the Davidoff Travel Humidor, a modern, stylish and lightweight cigar accessory that allows cigar aficionados on the go to travel without worrying about their precious cigars that will keep their optimal level of moisture and their aromas. The design of this travel cigar case meets the highest technological standards and the humidifier retains moisture through a magnetic seal. The tray is crafted with waves of fabric to keep the cigars from being crushed, and the soft fabric preserves the cigar wrappings.

Davidoff puts technology at the service of travel

Marcello Bottino is an Italian designer and entrepreneur based in Genoa, specialized in welding techniques and innovative textiles, designed without seams. This talented designer is developing new materials that meet the highest technological standards such as backpacks with solar panels or seamless swimsuits. In collaboration with Davidoff, the designer has devised a masculine and stylish cigar accessory with a choice of materials compatible with the aromatic specificity of cigars. Preserving the humidity inside the travel cellar to protect the cigars was a challenge Marcello Bottino successfully met.

A light and innovative cigar case

The Davidoff Travel Humidor is a revolutionary travel cigar cellar thanks to its lightness: between 600 and 700 grams. The cellars are light and have a removable inner tray, suitable for small and large cigars, for up to eight cigars. Their innovative, seamless design, uses materials that maintain the ideal moisture content inside the cigar cabinet. Its multi-layer construction with inside laminated fabric ensures durability and moisture retention. Each Travel Humidor is also equipped with a humidification system that slowly and steadily diffuses moisture, and the cigars can be stored for about three weeks. The magnetic closure allows optimal preservation of the cigar.

Three models to choose from

The Davidoff Travel Humidor, designed with raw noble materials such as leather or canvas that evolve wonderfully, is available in three models. The Explorer, made of Alcantara fabric and jeans, is a model for young and urban explorers. The Outdoor favors leather and canvas and the Business, in leather and wool, is a classic and stylish model. Each model of Travel Humidor measures 30 x 31 x 4cm and has two pockets under the flap to store accessories.

The tireless Sir Winston Churchill, a cigar lover, liked to draw inspiration and strength from the late hours of the day. When most people were dreaming in Morpheus’s arm, the great man let his mind think about the Allies advance and later, found the creativity of his government actions. Davidoff celebrates this stimulating and inspiring nocturnal inspiration with a cigar: Winston Churchill – The Late Hour.

Evening on the beach

At TFWA-WE 2017, Davidoff cigars held a party at a beach on the Croisette, on the shores of the Big Blue, in association with Neuhaus chocolates and the slow-aged Nicaraguan Flor de Cana rum. The chocolatiers from the Neuhaus house, the handcrafted in Belgium chocolates, presented the new collection Irrésistible, a selection of twelve triangular pralines made of crunchy nougatines, hand-filled with cream or ganache and coated with delicious dark or milk chocolate. The collection is presented in a contemporary, festive and ultra gourmande box, created by the stylist Edouard Natan, at the head of the famous Brussels fashion house Natan.
The Davidoff Soirée on the beach invited the Art de Vivre enthusiasts to discover the various Davidoff / Neuhaus / Flor de Cana pairings, recommended to savor these aroma treasures together: Neuhaus Plaisir & Davidoff Signature No. 2, a pleasure sublimated while sipping a Flor de Cana Centenario 12 years. Neuhaus Desir and Davidoff Yamasa call a desire of Flor de Cana Centenario 18 Years. Finally, Neuhaus Caprice and Davidoff Winston Churchill The Late Hour, enough to make a whim for a Flor De Cana Centenario 25 Years.
