L’Oasis, the Raimbault brothers’ two-star restaurant in Mandelieu-la-Napoule, celebrated 25 years of love of gastronomy on the theme of the Invitation to the Waltz.
L’Oasis, the restaurant of the three Raimbault brothers, celebrated 25 years of devotion to the culinary art, an art based on love, love the customer, of the product, of the beautiful gastronomy. 25 years of generosity and sharing of a profession honored by three exceptional brothers: Stéphane, Antoine and François Raimbault, who inspired the theme of the Invitation to the Waltz for the birthday lunch, a gastronomy served by three talents.
A living witness of contemporary gastronomy
L’Oasis is by the sea, near the port of Mandelieu La Napoule and its beaches bathed by the Mediterranean. The restaurant is nestled in the heart of an unusual villa: in a unique and lush decor, the stone walls host one of the most famous restaurants in the world.
This great venue of gastronomy was created by the chef Louis Outhier in 1954. Soon his talent and the quality of its cuisine and hospitality will make of this address the “Best Pension in the City” and he will get his first Michelin star in 1960. A second star will follow in 1965 and a third in 1970! L’Oasis is the witness of a great era, that of the tables which have been the source of great gastronomy of the region, like Roger Vergé’s Moulin de Mougins or André Rostang’s Le Rendez-Vous in Mougins.
An extraordinary gastronomic journey
The restaurant L’Oasis is today a dream paradise for gourmands and lovers of fine dining thanks to three exceptional brothers: the Raimbault brothers. The three lovers beautiful cuisine joined in this great gastronomic adventure by practicing a rare fusion cuisine at the crossroads of Mediterranean shores and Asia, with creations tinted with endless oriental nuances.
The restaurant’s interior is reflective of the plates: modern and refined. Indeed, this old mansion, tastefully restored, provides a dining room in natural materials with warm colors, a veranda and a winter garden with a terrace composed of mysterious arcades in the heart an oasis of freshness and greenery.
In summer, the lush patio with exotic vegetation composed of majestic plane trees, palm trees, fountains, stone columns and flowers, hosts the beautiful tables draped with white tablecloths for lunch or dinner.
Mediterranean cuisine with Asian accents
After nine years in Japan, the chef Stephane Raimbault rhythm the traditional Mediterranean cuisine Asian notes. With Antoine, they create dishes with innovative and surprising flavors, mixing products from the terroir and from elsewhere, deliciously evoking their many travels around the world cuisines.
Fusion and innovation enhance a menu reinvented with the seasons. Pastry Chef François Raimbault let his artistic talent shine with his Caravan of Desserts.
Finally, the chef sommelier Pascal Paulze composed a very nice wine list with 600 references selected with passion and precision. Two separate lists offer bottled wines and a selection of half bottles and wine by the glass.
Excellence without compromise
During the birthday lunch prepared by the Raimbault brothers, the influences of world cuisine they practice and which made their reputations, came together in the plates, offering the signature dishes an explosion of Mediterranean flavors sprinkled with an oriental touch.
This symphony of beautiful and delicate flavors reflected the culinary line that designates for so many years L’Oasis and the Raimbault brothers as the undisputed masters of the culinary art through the rigor of the products selection, their quality and freshness, their origins and the uncompromising work of a omnipresent brigade that is daily accompanying the Raimbault brothers in their irresistible and magnificent ascent towards an always starrier sky.
Le Bistrot and La Boutique
Created in 2009 and installed on the firts floor in an old room, the Bistrot L’Étage is intended for a broader clients range, without sacrificing quality: as a proof, it is crowned with a Bib Gourmand Michelin. It serves regional specialties directly from the gastronomic kitchens of L’Oasis. The dishes offered are following a traditional and gourmet partition, or, as Stéphane Raimbault aptly says: “an inspiration willing to be family, bourgeoise and terroir.”
To extend the pleasure, La Boutique, located a few steps from the restaurant, offers a variety of pastries, delicatessen products and confectionery. In a tasteful decor, a beautiful range of flavors, rethought over the seasons, is tempting the gourmands’ eyes.
Sharing wines and gastronomy
Stephane Raimbault organizes culinary workshops to transmit his knowledge and gastronomic heritage. Through the course, he initiates the curious people to the art of Mediterranean gastronomy, classic and contemporary, every Friday. On request, the pastry chef François Raimbault and the chef sommelier Pascal Paulze also animate thematic workshops, allowing the gastronomes to unlock some of the secrets of oenology and pastry.
